I was recently in NYC for business and had the pleasure of dining at Café Standard—what a gem! The food was delicious, the atmosphere vibrant and stylish, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. Albert and Alyssa were warm, engaging, and genuinely a joy to interact with. They made the space feel not just welcoming, but familiar—something every traveler appreciates. I came for the food, but I’ll be coming back for the people.
I visit frequently, meeting different friends or dining alone. Kai always makes everyone feel welcome, he is always warm, friendly and at ease, even while juggling 20 things at once. He really takes care of everyone and makes sure they have a positive experience. 10/10 no notes!
This has been on my list of go tos for a while, and I finally made it, and it was well worth it! The staff was lovely, and the interior was eclectic and beautiful, you felt like you were in a European Café! The food was so good, and their specials menu was very affordable! I got the BLT and a dirty martini and both were delicious!
