Come here if you are looking for solid Italian food and friendly atmosphere. The owner Nando and his staff are among the most friendly and welcoming in NYC if not the nation. The service was phenomenal, second only to the amazing food. Please add this to your things to experience in New York.

Food was solid, but honestly for the price you can go to another Italian restaurant that's more put together. My issue is with the service. They were were incredibly impatient and we felt like we were rushed. The waiter came 3 times in a 10 minute period to take our order. After we got our food we felt rushed to eat and leave. Also it's cramped even by NYC standards. If you want a nice chill or romantic place, this definitely isn't it. I feel like it's better for a quick lunch.

Great neighborhood gem - we love the ambiance, service and food. Nando does everything to make sure everyone is well served and he makes an effort to greet and welcome all of his patrons. The servers are wonderful! Such a warm and friendly environment.

This was once a great little neighborhood spot. We arrived for a 630 reservation on a Friday and after not very long we were told that we had to order because it wasn't “that kind of restaurant “where people could enjoy dinner I guess. Food was fine for an average neighborhood spot but once again after an hour and a half, barely, the owner came by to say we had to leave he had people waiting. we are treated better at Centro our favorite pizza place around the corner, which also has pretty good pasta and is basically a bunch of tables and takeout. Why bother coming back here? There are plenty of Italian restaurants in New York on the upper east side that would be happy to have us be there for more than exactly 90 minutes so we could enjoy being with our friends. Too bad. it is also very noisy if you want to chat.

Always a great experience. The food and service are amazing! The fresh pasta is to die for. Got the chocolate soufflé and wowwwww so so so good! They gave us Limoncello when they brought the bill. Super sweet and great staff!
The sergeant at NYPD 19th Precinct said this is one of the best Italian places locally so when my wife said she wanted spaghetti sauce and meatballs I figured let's give them a try.
We walked a few blocks to get and waited for the order to be prepared. The decor was basic, the waiter was quick and attentive. But the food is the main focus and unfortunately it was a mistake. My wife who ate the meal said this was almost like a microwave bowl of chef boyardee. Nothing like what you would expect from a nice Italian restaurant in midtown Manhattan.
The captain might be capping and the chef is slacking.

The waitress seemed to be rushing us from the moment we arrived. The courses were right on top of each other and the waiter kept coming over to clear plates. After 50 minutes we had eaten out appetizers and entrees the manager came over and said we can't take our time ordering our desserts. Very rude and said he needed our table.
