Oh my word, the TACOS. Absolutely delicious. It's clear their carnitas and pulled pork cook for a long time, because they were so tender! Also, the service was phenomenal, and the staff are so personable! Even the manager came out to say hi when he heard I'd just moved into the area. Also, I will be coming back to eat here in their outdoor area with my pups, as these guys are super dog friendly! I'll be back, Calexico!!

Love this place, but recently, I order steak and rice was to salty, but this time the steak was tuff had to throw the food away, I have been eating here for along time. Hope the chef be more mindful of adding the season.

Ordered once during COVID and it was terrible, but figured it wasn't fair to judge them during a pandemic. Just tried again a few years later, and it was even worse! The chicken fajitas are large chunks of chicken (as opposed to thin strips), and the chicken was pink inside!!! So I'm now eating fajitas of the onions/peppers and condiments. Will never go back.

Loyal customer for years, but they were shut down by the health department for absolutely disgusting violations; 12 separate violations totaling 86 points (28 points gets you a C rating). Operating a restaurant in these conditions is a betrayal of customer trust that the food being served is guaranteed safe to consume. Unless 100% staff replacement, especially manager, I’m not sure we will ever consider going back.
This place was just shut down by the health department for having rats. Eat here at your own risk

Calexico, or should I say, a true taste of Mexico? Nothing could be more aptly described as authentic, bold, and kind, as Calexico. You should go there I think. If you don’t, that would be sad.

The shrimp bowl was an excellent choice, flavorful and filling. Not sure what was happening with my check; I had to ask for it, then carried it over to the pay station. 20 minutes, hmmm.
One of the waiters, Justin, is the absolute best. He is so welcoming and kind. He always remembers my friend and I’s order. We always hope we get him when we come to Calexico. Justin, you’re the king!!!!!!!!
