Keep in mind that this is a fish market. You can buy fresh seafood to cook at home. They also sell cooked seafood, there are a few tables to sit and eat your food, there is also a bar area. The day that I visited the pescaderia, the floors were wet and slippery, and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. We ordered crab pastelitos, soup, a seafood boil, 1 order of seafood rice, and 1 whole fried fish. The food was ok, but not impressive. The whole fish was mostly bones, and the little meat that it had was dry. The shrimp was chewy & overcooked. I did like the garlic sauce they poured over the seafood boil. We also liked the crab pastelitos. The pescaderia offers good prices in some foods, but for the prices I paid, it was not worth the trip.

The reason for the horrible rating is the customer service
We went in to order some platters they were advertising on instagram. The restaurant was empty so we sat down to wait to be served. No one ever came so my son went to the front to order behind the counter. No one spoke English so my son was showing the last instagram post with the platter he wanted to order , to no avail… the waitress went from dumbfounded to annoyed. My son was so embarrassed, frustrated, and insulted. By the time he got back to the table he was completely red and couldn’t utter a word. The whole time no one came to the table.

I had a delivery order about a month ago. The fish was very good. The only issue was my missing side order of sweet plantains. Today I was in the area so I went in to purchase some fish. I should've know the fish was bad because on my bus ride home many ppl on the bus was complaining about the smell of the fish. When I got home took a bite. The fish tasted nasty and old. Never again will I get anymore fish from this place.
