the food was true to its authenticity, or from at least other Venezuelan Ive had in the past anyway.it's very limited seating for this restaurant. the server is most likely going to ask if you're ordering for takeaway. prices are reasonable imo.I've had tequeños and my friend had the Hot Queen arepa. no pics to prove it but we demolished it with our $5 margarita drinks which were also to-go, as seems everything else nowadays from a bar next door. Really wish there were more seating. that way we can tip the server and not have a rushed dining experience.but wow!! that garlic aioli/purée that they give out with every meal? it's literal crack. I can see why they sell it in a full sized bottle right on the menu for $11. you've been warned!!!!

I ate here and got food poisoning! Super random, I don't have a sensitive stomach so I knew there was something wrong with my food

My favorite arepas I've found so far in nyc. Lots of options, the only caveat is it's extremely small inside and it can be uncomfortable for seating. But, with outdoor dining now it seems there is more space.

Every visit is a new arepa for me to try, and not a single one that I’ve not liked yet. However, I alwaysalways ask for a double order of tequeños, because I die for cheese.

Love it!!! Delicious arepas, small colourful cozy spot. Sit on milk crates. Not to be missed! Great area of nyc. Fun place! Ropa vieja is also scrumptious

I am from Valencia Venezuela and this was one of the best areperas in NYC. I used to take my friends to eat my typical food. The last time I took a friend I was dissatisfied. My arepa was dry and cold. I other a second one and the same very bad. The appetizers were good! I won’t recommend this place.

Pick-up ordering through their web app which was a painless process. Food is still as good as I remembered, though prices have gone up, most likely due to having to pay for web app!Ordered:1. Miss Piggy (roast pork)2. La Del Gato (with grilled chicken)3. De Pabellon (shredded beef)They gave us extra in-house special Caracas Sauce. Portions were bigger than I remembered, while the arepas were slightly soggy by the time we got home, they were still delicious. Def recommend when you are craving stuffed arepas!

Always a good spot to go when feeling hungry. Anything you want from veggie to full on meat arepas!

Been coming here since it opened and it's by far the best arepas I've had in the city. In fact, it might be my favorite restaurant, period.Superior quality and great vegetarian selection. Extremely personable and friendly service. And seating has gotten a LOT easier since they opened their little annex 2 doors down (where the food is just as good). Also, don't sleep on the cocada, especially if you're a fan of drinks like horchata. And their breakfast dish is great, too!

Caracas is my favorite arepa place handsdown. There's one in Queens I always heard was amazing, but tried it and Caracas still holds the crown in my opinion. Every single one I've tried has been delicious. Usually go for the specials and a couple of the menu staples. Always leave satisfied and full. The sangria could use some work. Seems a bit inconsistent. Usually a little weak for my taste, and never tastes exactly the same. Other wines and beer available are great. Highly recommend!

Man, what happened to this amazing place? It used to be so good! The menu is totally different and quality has dropped dramatically. I actually have met the owners before they got divorced. The quality and taste has changed so much. I hope it goes back to the way it was. Sucks that the food is subpar.

Love this place. I'm never disappointed with the food here. The spot is super small so be mindful of that. The service is always excellent.
