I had high hopes. The specials were shared with us, but not the prices... so when someone in the party ordered the truffle pasta, they were informed it was $150. I would say that was an error on the waiters' part, as if there is a dish that is a significant upcharge to what the cost range of entrees are, they should mention it upfront. In addition, the appetizers were incredible but the entrees were bland - we ordered the squid ink pasta with four kinds of fish and the lemon risotto. The squid ink pasta dishes was overcooked (and the fish sauce was quite unappealing), and the lemon risotto was more milanese than lemon. For the price of that dinner (over $300 for 2 people), I'm very disappointed. I will say the restaurant ambience was beautiful and the service was impeccable. Unfortunately, I won't be going back because the food was expensive and uninteresting.
We always have a wonderful experience. The food was excellent the service is always friendly and warm.
Un capitán de mesero indu hablando los especiales del día en un pésimo inglés no se le entendía. Mi bistec al ferri caro y malo. El risotto de mi esposa desabrido. Lo único bueno fue la ensalada y el sashimi
I had the soft shelled crab. Food and service were excellent. Not too noisy, so we could talk without having to raise our voices. Lovely ambiance. I would go there again.
Ditto what others have said. You get what you pay for. Food and service second to none. My only complaint was when you order a $38 glass of wine most restaurants when they bring the bottle to the table offer you a taste. Here they just poured it in the glass.
best dining experience we've had in years. phenomenal service, even better food. can't wait to go back. our server was incredible and made our night special
What a wonderful place. Yes - it is expensive. But they do deliver. Which makes it a great place for a special event
We were seated promptly. Service was impeccable. Food was excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Slightly on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. Would definitely return.
Caravaggio is one of our very favorite Italian restaurants. The food and service are consistently excellent. The place is elegant but not at all fussy. 5 stars!
Caravaggio offers consistently excellent food. Serviced by a long existing staff. Warm lovely yummie experience

Delicious pasta, fresh salads, and amazing desserts. Great wine list, elegant atmosphere, and staff who are both friendly and attentive. A wonderful Italian spot I’d highly recommend!

Caravaggio is consistently one of the best experiences— outstanding ingredients and preparation only beat by the exemplary service.
Soft shell crabs we ordered were too mature. Never seen them this size at an upscale establishment. They were tough and hard to eat. At $75.00 an order, we expected the delicacy that soft shell crabs should be and so we were very disappointed.
Caravaggio is one of our favorite restaurants in Manhattan. The food is incredible, that died in room is lovely, and the service is impeccable. Can't say enough good things.
While the restaurant was beautiful, the service superb, and the food prepared with great care and presented beautifully, the price was as advertised - about $100 per person. That said, it was worth every bite. When we come back to visit NYC, we are certain to return. Additionally, the meal was properly spaced and we felt like special guests.
