CARBONE ? THATS OLIVE GARDEN TO MEEE

Alex Lopez

Everything exceeded my expectations—the food, the service, and the atmosphere were all outstanding. The space is small, which makes it feel cozy and intimate. I’d heard mixed things, with some saying it was just hype, but I was completely blown away.

They start you off with a few appetizers, each one delicious. I ordered the spicy rigatoni vodka, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. For my main, I went with the pork chop and peppers, since the hostess mentioned the ribs weren’t as strong. That pork chop was phenomenal—by far the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly tender, packed with flavor, and cooked beautifully.

The playlist added the perfect vibe to the room. I didn’t order dessert, but they surprised me with a small almond pastry at the end, and it was the perfect sweet finish.

Carbone makes of the best pasta dishes I ever had. I tried fettuccine con funghi and the portion was not too large and there's a decent amount of veggies. Ambience is loud and lively but the space is quite tight. They also offer delicious bread and sides as starters.

The experience and service at Carbone is absolutely unmatched from the moment you enter the restaurant.

The food was almost as impressive, however we found the mushroom and pasta slightly under seasoned.

Carbone – An Unforgettable Experience

I went with my wife, and from the moment we arrived, the atmosphere transported us to classic Italian elegance in New York: cozy, lively, and full of charm.

We started with oysters and a Caesar salad, the perfect beginning to our evening. For the main course, the standout was the Whole Branzino, perfectly roasted, tender, and delicately flavored, highlighting the freshness of the fish. We also enjoyed the spicy rigatoni vodka and veal parmesan, both absolutely delicious and memorable.

The service was impeccable—attentive, professional, and warm, making us feel truly special. The wine pairings complemented each dish beautifully.

For dessert, the tiramisu was heavenly—light, creamy, and perfectly balanced with espresso.

Carbone isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience. Every detail, from the food to the service, makes it a must-visit.

Came here for my husbands birthday and had a great meal. They give you bread, cauliflower, salami and a hunk of fresh Parmigiano to start. To drink, I had a white wine recommended by the sommelier and my husband had an old fashioned. We had the raw tuna over eggplant with Calabrian chile oil as an appetizer. I had the branzino and my husband had the ribeye as a main. We shared the spicy rigatoni vodka as a side. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate cake in raspberry sauce and they also gave us rainbow cookies. All the food was fantastic, fresh and delicious. We both especially enjoyed our mains and felt they were all worth the price tag. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the service was top notch. The atmosphere isn’t for everyone as the restaurant is dark, loud and tight. The decor is quite charming and sophisticated. Overall we had a great time. The restaurant is pricy but we felt it was well worth it for the quality and flavors of the food and fantastic service.
