Food and desserts are overrated, I had been waiting for too long to try the pastry and it really disappointed me. There are better places around definitely.
The Dubai and Nutella puff pastry our not worth it. If the chain store is anything like the real thing I won’t waste the trip. Probably first and last time at this establishment.
Just ok
I was so disappointed.
I have watched Carlos for so long and I was sooo excited to try it when in NYC but honestly it was not good.
I didn’t eat most of it, it’s very expensive even for NYC. It was bland, tasted like it had been defrosted.
Service was fine but nothing special, atmosphere was boring, absolutely nothing to report, no one really inside.
I was very disappointed because I’d hyped it up so much in my head :(
Kinda too sweet for my liking. Got the cannoli and I prefer those in Italy. However the decor is nice and it’s a old school bakery

The pastries are perfectly flaky and the desserts are rich and flavorful without being overly sweet. Quality ingredients.
This bakery is a must-visit for anyone who loves incredible food. Highly recommend ❤️
I REALLY wanted to love this place as I have been watching Cake Boss for years. I came from Oregon and the only thing I had to do was go to Carlo's Bakery. I NEEDED to get a lobster tail and cannoli. I was stoked, I took them right to my hotel, took a bite of the bucket list lobster tail and it was soggy and hard to bite into. The creme was good but I was totally bummed. I gave myself a pep talk then went in for the mouth watering cannoli I had expected to be crunchy and authentic. Ugggg....it was soggy too, the cream inside was good. I was sad to see the staff sitting around and the display cases were filthy from hand prints and food. I don't expect them to be perfectly clean all the time as it is a very busy place. There were employees just hanging around. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. I have to say I am disappointed with this visit, the quality of the food Buddy presents on the show, the amazing bakery rescues he does, the close family quality control environment that it shown on the show was not seen today.I am very sad. Maybe next time, I will try to stop by at a different time, again as a HUGE fan I want to see Carlo's Bakery around for awhile.
The drinks were delicious. Pastries were okay. I was charged twice, which I found unsettling.
The Debbie chocolate cake was over-sweet couldn't eat it, We also had a chocolate croissant was very good. The coffee shots were very good! Wish they had more selections for breakfast food!

The hazelnut pocket is a must have. Its has chocolate and the taste was mind blowing. I like eating these croissants at Whole Foods all the time but the taste at Carlo is unforgettable. Definitely a place to stop by in NYC.
I expect more
It was nice
Fav place in times square for baked goods. The cannolis are INSANE, took a bit for someone to take our order, about 4 people just standing looking at us no taking our order, but food was amazing.
Everything we thought it would be. No pork alternatives for breakfast. We loved the location near the bus station.
