All the staff were so so lovely! The menu was so big with many amazing options. The French toast was to die for! I got the caramel one and the walnuts were so yum.
Been longtime (maybe 18 years now) happy customer of John’s! Great food made fresh to order at a great price point for midtown lunch.
The best in Manhattan!!!
Been coming here for a little over one and a half years now, ever since I started working in the area. I can honestly say, that every day I'm not at Carnegie John's, is a day I think about eating from Carnegie John's. The food is immaculate, the platters satisfying, and when you ask for extra hot sauce, he pours it on. To have survived the foot traffic drought of 2020-2022, any food carts left standing have to be the best. I can honestly say, this guy is the best of the best. Jovial, kind, and he cooks a mean kebab.
Great ambiance . Everyone should have a good time.
Great food and service, price is good for portion and really friendly.
Used to come here weekly back in 2010-11. I just stopped back in while visiting the city yesterday, still just as good, maybe better! Fresh and hot chicken and kabob, warm fluffy rice, crisp lettuce and an amazingly fresh Taziki sauce. Wow. Such a nice guy too, pleasant experience all the way around.
Carnegie John is affordable, friendly, fast, and delicious! Get the gyro or shish kebab on pita for a quick meal to eat in the park. The chicken breast is fresh, juicy, and perfectly charred, excellent with the white yogurt sauce.
Best street cart in the city - Greek gyro and grilled check over rice and salad is delicious!
Great food and service, price is good for portion and really friendly.

The Greek seller is very nice, and the sandwiches offered are good and not expensive (10 dollars max). The hot dogs are to be tasted, and are worth their 2 dollars.
I wanted to love this cart. I walked several blocks to get a steak sandwich, but alas, it was tough. The owner was great, but the end product just ok.
The best NYC street cart hands down.
They're back! One of the best lunch places that I missed dearly during the pandemic. Chicken over rice is the best here. The gyro is also a good option.
Friendly cart outside Carnegie Hall. His shish kebabs and steak bowls have great quality meat.
