Paid 19 bucks for a plate of Yellow rice and Gandules and carne guisada.Good portion of rice. The rice was good . Got 6 ounces of Carne Guisada. The carne guisada was very watery. No cilantro in it. No cooking ham. Tasted like a Caucasian beef stew. No Puerto Rican spices or flavoring at all . Mostly surprised as the rice and Gandules were good . The rice and Gandules 8 of 10. The carne guisada 2 of 10.

This place located in NYC is frequented by many lovers of Puerto Rican food due to the quality and variety of its offerings, its prices are reasonable.
Everything they offer in this picturesque place has an exquisite flavor. The attention of all the staff is very efficient, including the Caribbean humor of the waiters. If you want to eat tasty and abundant, this is the right place. (Redome).

I've been to Casa Adela a few times so on Saturday I decided to cater from them for a dinner party. Food is delicious BUT all 6 of us got sick from the food wish they could figure out why because I just saw a comment from 2 weeks ago of someone who also got food poisoning ... so so disappointing.
The guy that took or order was really cool and nice to my kids I'll go back again

If I could give zero stars I would. We came on a busy saturday which makes it completely understandable for there to be a few issues in terms of service flow however the experience was one of the worst I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The wait was 30-45min for a table which we were happy to wait for but the management had zero courtesy towards ensuring the staff was equipped to care for customers. Our waiter was kind and we were very happy with the service he could provide but the food and efforts made by management were unbearabley lacking. Really wanted to support Adela’s as a loisaida staple but will not be back. Management also had no qualms about pressuring us to pay for food we did not eat and wouldn’t enjoy as we relayed. Very sad for the environment this place is holding and genuinely feel as if we’ve been robbed of our time and money. From our experience I never even want to hear about Casa Adela again.

Puerto Rican food in NYC. Excellent. The only thing you need to pay in cash. But it's worth it. 100% recommended. The spectacular alcapurrias and the tostones too. Fast and good service.

Local Puerto Rican cash only spot. Simple diner vibes. Very delish. Can’t go wrong!
Would recommend 1 main plate to share and then a side. The avocado salad was really nice to balance all the hearty flavours.
The chicken was well seasoned and super yummy!
