Good menu. Everything is from scratch, even the bread. I have yet to try something I don't like here. Has a cute little patio in the back that's nice in the summer. Staff is always chill and friendly. A gem to the neighborhood.

Peanut butter, banana, toasted croissant with coffee is my favorite breakfast from them. Ordered over 50 of them at this point :)

Wonderful little restaurant with delicious food, reasonable pricing, and great service. The interior could use some work, otherwise great

When I tell you that I have never had a good experience ordering from here it would be an understatement. Their phones are down so they can’t possibly fix any of the mistakes they made because you can’t contact them and then they are always out of things on their menu. Do not bother with this place. Ownership needs to go take courses on how to run a proper business or learn some guest relations skills.

Checked reviews before I decided to check it out. Came because I wanted a good cup of coffee and some quirky atmosphere. On previous reviews the inside looked colorful and artsy. Clearly something has changed... Maybe a change of management or ownership? The whole place is painted gray inside. Also some kind of reorganization must be taking place. They were installing a new POS and there are random bins and old computers around. A bike hanging on the wall. Maybe this will all be sort d at some point, but at the moment the ambience needs a lot of work. I did not see the back garden that everyone talks about so maybe that's the same. It was too cold to eat outside today.Anyway, the man at the counter was very nice and the coffee was excellent. I had a bacon and egg croissant sandwich and it was delicious. Prices were super reasonable. I would definitely come back again and hope the inside is improved.

Long wait, cold food, overpriced for Harlem. Doesn’t belong in our neighborhood.

Very unclean. Cashier was disrespectful of my wife. Order said it would be ready in 15 minutes. We had to wait almost 40 minutes and were given the incorrect order. Food is decent. Kitchen was visible in violation of health code.

I brought my friends from out of town here and we all tried it for the first time. Absolutely blown away. The atmosphere is calm and comforting and the food is incredible. The prices are unbeatable for the service and the food provided. My friends and I also got a latte, a pressed juice, and a smoothie- all delicious! I will be adding Cassava House into my weekly routine. Definitely give this place a try

Perfect brunch between games on Randall’s Island. A quick hop over the bridge. Food is good, healthy, fresh and seasoned like good home cooking. Smoothies and pressed juice selection is amazing and we sat out back so the kids could chill. Service was warm and amazing.

The female owner of this place (wife of the male owner) thinks too highly of herself and has an extreme attitude. She doesn't acknowledge or make eye contact with customers and vendors. Would never return here for that reason. Skip this place.

I gotta give this place a raving review! If you’re in Harlem at any point stop in and get yourself the Nenad Sandwich or Vegan Paradise both are amazing sandwiches. I’ll be back to try out the rest of the menu
