Great food, we tried the calamari, octopus, and fish. I was getting very frustrated when they made us wait 45 minutes for our table when I had distinctly made sure to make a reservation and call ahead. We had to just stand by the bar because there were no seats available. Once we got to our table, it was a very lovely view of the cathedral and very romantic.

First review ever on here because I simply have to comment on this place. I came on a Saturday night for a friends’ birthday dinner. It took us a while to get sat even with everyone there and with a reservation, but we figured maybe that was just because the staff was busy and they were trying to prevent a wait later on. Still, when we sat, it took over an hour to take our order… they didn’t bring us our food until 10 pm for an 8 pm reservation. We were there for over three hours despite being told they had a 2 hour table limit! The food itself was very hit or miss. Some people I was with enjoyed it; however half of the people at our table had very cold flavorless food. Notably the burrata, which I was told would be enough alone for dinner considering it came with chickpea balls and grilled peppers, both of which were like…refrigerator cold. And unseasoned. For $30! Two friends got the rotisserie chicken which came recommended by our server; one was late to come out but warm and pretty good (still not worth $40 IMO), but one was completely room temperature, like not even kept under a heat lamp. That friend asked if they could either heat it up or even just bring warmer sauce to pour over it, and though the server said they’d check, they never followed up or did anything. We had also brought in a cake that they brought out at the end, but we sat there with it for 25 minutes before we finally had to go get someone to ask them to cut it. We had actually asked earlier, and the server told us “usually we take it to the back and cut/serve it.” And then walked away and never sent anyone to do so until we asked again…As long as I’m sharing grievances, the bathroom situation was also pretty odd. It was pretty dirty, especially for what I thought was such a nice restaurant, and then at one point, with a full women’s room, they sent a male employee in to replace things and clean up. That doesn’t really bother me personally, but some other women were definitely uncomfortable, especially since he didn’t call in the door ahead of time, wait for people to clear out, or even announce his presence. Just odd as there were lots of female employees working. The only really redeeming quality was I had a decent whisky sour. Although it was $24 with house bourbon. The atmosphere was fine, we sat on the patio which was cute, but still nothing quite looked like the pictures online. The whole place is a good bit smaller than they would lead you to believe. The breadsticks justify the 2 stars.Overall, extremely overpriced for the quality of food and terrible service. Oh well.

Overpriced for mid tier food and just barley exceptional service. Having said that, the drink selection atmosphere and architecture of the restaurant are some reasons to eat here.

I recently dined at this restaurant with a group of friends and was extremely disappointed with the experience. We had a couple of extra guests with us, and the restaurant forced us to sign a contract for the prix fixe menu, making us feel quite uncomfortable. The manager approached one of our guests directly to inquire about food allergies, which he does have (shellfish and nuts). Despite this, they served a fried calamari and shrimp dish and placed it right in front of him.Throughout the meal, the manager pulled the host of our party aside twice, making us all feel uneasy. The service was subpar, and the food was overpriced and not particularly good. Overall, our experience was far from pleasant, and we will not be returning.

First time having dinner here, place looks amazing inside, I was disappointed at the quality of service, We technically were never welcomed or had a waiter at all at our table ,the manager took our food order, nice of her, but we would had appreciated great waiter service, I had to ask for bread three times, not impressed with the quality of waiter service, The front desk Hostess didn't even smile when we arrived, she presented herself with an attitude, not professional at all. Was expecting a great a experience, had a fair experience overall.

Pretentious vibes in the restaurant . The “ famous “ truffle pasta was not worth the hype or the 60$ . Service was okay but could tell there was annoyance as we did not order very much . The best thing we had was the bread and butter .

The ambience of this restaurant is amazing but dinner and the service factor really disappointed. We ordered oysters, tuna crudo, the sweet potatoes and the scallops. The oysters were extremely fishy and after two each we couldn't continue and had to remove the dish. The sweet potatoes never came - they brought mushrooms instead and were annoyed when we wouldn't eat them. The scallops were overcooked and again, fishy, for $48/each. Pretty unhappy with our experience. Despite eating ~3 of 12 oysters the host stuck us with most of the bill but comped our glasses of wine. This was my worst NYC dining experience in a long time.
