This was my first time coming into this establishment and it more than exceeded my expectations. The ambience is clean and modern. The staff is precise and charming. Definitely a level of sophistication in the atmosphere. I really appreciated the calm social vibe while meeting new people at the bar. I started with a caviar tasting along with a new take on a few of the standard accompaniments. I usually don’t like blinis but these felt like fluffy clouds of buttermilk biscuits. I really came to try the caviar and uni pairing. Did not disappoint to say the least. A great caviar experience.
I've been to Caviar Russe many times for dinner, and it's always incredible. But recently, my husband threw me a surprise birthday party there, and it was truly unforgettable. The food and service were outstanding, as always, but what made it extra special was the attention to every detail—from the warm hospitality to the personalized menus. All our guests had an amazing time. Thank you, Caviar Russe, for making the evening so memorable!
After 16 years in New York, I finally celebrated my birthday at Caviar Russe—and I only wish I had gone sooner. I’ve been let down before by Michelin-starred restaurants that didn’t live up to the hype, but this place? It doesn’t have enough stars.
From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel genuinely special. We had the tasting menu, a caviar flight, and a premium martini that was perfection. Every bite was exquisite, every detail thoughtful, and the service was gracious without ever feeling stiff.
Caviar Russe reminded me of what true hospitality and fine dining should feel like. If you’re considering it—don’t hesitate. This is a New York gem that delivers on every level.
My two adult children and I had the pleasure of dining with Caviar Russe in Manhattan for dinner last night. We have been lucky to experience Michelen-rated establishments all over the world. And as a multi-year Michelen star recipient we had high expectations for this one. From the quaint, well-appointed, five table area in which we dined, to the caviar offerings on full display, a five-course chef selected tour, to an outstanding wine selection, they surpassed our expectations at nearly every turn.
Our Sommelier visited us to assist with food and wine pairings. Our service staff was knowledgeable and above board.
The portions were on point and delivered an array of flavors that only the highest trained chef can deliver.
We will return in the future.
Always a pleasure dining at Caviar Russe. Amazing service, tasty food and probably the best caviar in city. Pure indulgence and exquisite ambience at Caviar Russe.
This is a hidden gem of Manhattan. Now, with the ground floor caviar bar it has become the one and only original caviar and real Russian vodka haven. The formally nearly noticeable historic establishment has transformed itself into the ultimate luxury caviar and real vodka bar in the city. It is the only one in the city to carry the one and only Jewel of Russia vodka on the menu. Even though all Russian vodka were banned for import by the former occupant of the White House, they can still somehow manage to source this unique stuff almost three years into the ban. The combination of caviar and this rare spirit is nothing short of a miracle in the hands of the more than competent sheff. No words are fit to describe it, it can only be experienced!
RAT DROPPINGS AGAIN and HUGEEE WATERBUG/ROACH type bugs?!! The least the staff can do is pick up a broom and sweep em up . Horrible . I'ma still give it 5 stars cause my friend works here , but CLEAN IT UP !!!

Our entire experience was amazing. The staff were super helpful, kind and knowledgeable. They recommended dishes to us as well as what made sense for a caviar tasting. We shared one of their tastings and it was enough for 2 people. We added a few side dishes as well and were graciously gifted dessert. The space itself is beautifully decorated. Fun place to host a girls meals or group dinner as well as a date night.

We wanted to experience something new and different while being educational and this restaurant checked all the boxes! We’ve always been curious about caviar and this was the best place to learn and try the different types. We sat in the lounge area downstairs and it was perfect. Harry took excellent care of us! He guided us as to what would be best for us based on what we were looking to experience, with total professionalism. Hint- it really is best to have caviar with vodka (I did the “caviar” tini) per Harry’s recommendation. We did the authority tasting and it was such an unforgettable experience, highly recommend. Also everyone from the host to the bartender was so kind and would check on us, they made us really feel comfortable like family. Next time we go back to Nyc we will be stopping by to see our friends and have another amazing experience!

Went to place a pick up an order for ossetra caviar. Chic setting with prompt and efficient service. Got to go back to try the dining experience upstairs.

We knew what we were getting into, going to a caviar restaurant and ordering a bottle of illuminated Dom. The service was top notch and everyone was very knowledgeable and willing to go out of their way to meet some of our unique requests. Outside of the silly bottle of champagne, we’ve experienced a lot of caviar in our time, and it just wasn’t worth the price. Their serving sizes seemed a bit short of what you’d receive with a typical caviar service. There were some unique accoutrements and additional menu items that were a nice surprise and all well-executed. Overall, it was a fun stop on our trip that we’re happy we did but probably wouldn’t do again.
