I’ve been to this Cha Cha Matcha location many times — during all my visits to New York, and now that I actually live here. I love that they sometimes offer pastries in the evening that are close to their sell-by date — such a fun and sustainable idea! Their matcha is always perfect, no matter what I order.
The space is cool and unique, with entrances from two sides, which gives it a special vibe. We often sit here, chat, and watch the city go by. I really enjoy the design and the friendly, upbeat team. Such a great spot to relax and recharge! 💚🍵✨

A fine spot to grab a takeaway drink. The space could use a bit more care: seats are a bit dusty, there are some crumbs around, the tables could use a good wipe, and the floor a proper mop. It looks charming from the outside or in pictures, but a closer look reveals it’s not very clean. Service was fine, nothing remarkable. Good selection of drinks, with coffee and chai tea on top of the match and specialty options.

Prices displayed are not the same as what they charge. I had a lovely matcha today at this location but, when my purchase was rung up, the cost was $2 higher than what is listed on their menu. I asked the barista (who was very kind and helpful) why the cost was so high, and she apologized, saying she had to charge what was listed in their point of sales system. I knew there was nothing she’d be able to do about the charge, so left it at that, but it’s inappropriate for this business to not have anything indicating their prices have changed. I understand they can’t just reprint & rehang signage as often as this economy has the prices of things changing, but they could at least put up some temporary signs letting people know about such a steep price increase, rather than just surprising people once they’re about to swipe their card.
