i stopped by during the middle of the day for lunch in hopes to get the dan dan noodles but apparently they only serve for dinner. The food that I had was very satisfying and I’m looking forward to coming back for dinner.
So kind loved it great friend spot
This restaurant hits as a Hong Kong style morning breakfast place. I always come here for the satay beef instant noodle dish, and it comes topped with a fried egg. If you're here early enough, you get a free drink with it too! The curry fish balls were also delicious, and the toast will bring you back to those days when that was the simplest thing to eat in the morning. The service can be a bit slow at times, but they're getting better.
Our favorite was the fried turnips(cubed up turnip cake deep fried with a light batter)
The HK milk tea really hit the spot :)
I thought cha kee was quite good, especially if you're into Cantonese snacks and cuisine, this is a great place. I love the bolo bao with butter. It's flaky, lightly sweet and tasty. We were restaurant hopping so we only got small things here. The salt and pepper squid was really tasty, perfectly fried, not overly seasoned. The curry sauce on the curry fish balls was really good. The staff is pleasant and attentive
Easter sunday brunch was absolutely delicious. Visiting from Staten Island.
I usually get the curry chicken but today the curry was pretty dry and also not that flavorful. The service was pretty decent I asked them to give me curry sauce to put on it, it tasted a bit better but not like the usual curry.
5 stars for the service they were very accommodating. 4 and half stars for the food. I had the club sandwich i wish it had a little more bacon but still good. We also had stirfried ramen noodles for the kids and they enjoyed it. I will come back again to try their rice dishes or casseroles.
Place located in Chinatown, frequented by Chinese people and not by tourists. They made us sit right away, the menu features many dishes that we don't prepare in Italy, so for someone who is passionate and curious about Chinese cuisine it's the best. Ate well. Fast service and prices almost at Italian level. I highly recommend it.

Took us a little guessing to find it. It moved to the next store. Plenty of seating, decent food, milk tea a bit bland, others stuff as good as expected.

Classic. I used to come here with my family all the time as a kid. They’ve moved locations since then but most of the food items are still there!! My favorite is the ham and cheese spaghetti in creamy sauce. It is sooo delectable!
7/30/2024. This place is going through a transition, has 3 names and sells 2 kinds of food. The HK style milk tea is just right without having to adjust the sugar. The Macao Curry Chicken Rice has the classic flavor with cheese on top. The curry beef point was disappointing. I did not try the Si Chuan dishes.

It pains me to write this review. I've frequented the old location before moving out of the city, so I'm not a newcomer to their menu or what Cha Chan Tang has to offer.
I brought my boyfriend here and praised Cha Cha Tang as having the best small plates for Hong Kong-style cuisine. You get reasonably portioned dishes for $10 below while having a dine-in experience. I had high hopes since this would be his first time.
We arrived around 7:30pm on a Saturday and was seated immediately. After fifteen minutes, we had to flag down a server for some water. Then 10 minutes after that, once again we had to flag them down to take our order. All we got accomplished at the 30 minute mark was water and placing of our orders.
People who arrived after, received their food first. The food was delicious, but the service left much to be desired and the wait time even more so. We waited around 45 minutes for our first dish and then every 10 minutes after, so you're picking at one thing at a time. They are far from settled into their new location, but I have hopes that it'll improve with time.
