My most anticipated stop in nyc as I found this place months ago on instagram and it greatly exceeded my expectations! Every dish was exceptional. I got there and immediately ordered the green mango salad. I was recommended the tasting option which meant I got served 3 smaller portions of dishes from the menu picked by the chef. Each one that came out was a surprise! The first delicious one was the clay pot glass noodles, the second was the massaman curry, and then the pad Thai. Each dish had their own beautiful flavors. I was also served the black sticky rice with mango and banana. The rice was warm and the fruit was so perfectly ripe it was absolutely divine, don’t skip this dessert. 100/10

Delicious food with a thoughtful menu. I had the pad see ew and tasted the lentil curry and I’d order both again. Everyone was very satisfied and will definitely be back. #Veganuary

I had a wonderful time dining here. The food was excellent! I had the lentil curry. It was very flavorful. The free bottomless ginger tea was a nice touch too. #Veganuary

**they are using frozen meals and passing them off as their prepared meals!** DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! This place had 1 employee doing everything. EVERYTHING. It took forever to get even a glass of water! She was the only one there. If I was alone, I would have walked out long before the fiasco of the food - The mango salad was fine and the spring rolls were decent (but neither worth $15 - they were just passable). And I have no confidence they were made in house. There was NO STAFF in the kitchen. Just this one woman who did everything else too. Although the appetizers were passable, the entrees were terrible! They had the nerve to try to pass off a Trader Joe's frozen meal as their "Drunken Noodles". I've had this frozen entree a few times, so I noticed it immediately and refused to eat it. I called her on it, showed her the photo of the box and told her I wasn't paying $19 for a frozen microwaved meal! I already knew something was off and then heard the microwave ding twice. (The place did not smell like food. What restaurant doesn't smell like food??? They were NOT COOKING!) Shortly after those dings, I received my meal. They obviously heated up 2 boxes and tried to pass it off as their Drunken Noodles. The nerve! They didn't even heat it on the stove! It was room temperature! Unbelievable. I hope they go out of business. I'm going back there to talk to someone about how egregious this is and demand our money back (she insisted on paying for the rest of the meal. I wanted to walk out on the bill). I'm livid.

This place is like a hidden gem! Everything is so delicious, fresh and you can also order without sugar or salt. They have a good quality plant based food with a lots of gf option. I tried green curry and mung bean noodles they both were great! Thank you!

How wonderful to have an all vegan Thai restaurant and then to top it off have the food be delicious. I’ve been to their other location and came upon this one by chance. It’s always like going to someone’s home and having them serve directly from their kitchen. That’s how much care goes into each dish. The room is lovely, inviting and calm. The service always attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.

This is the third time I’ve visited. The food is ok but you have to wait over 45min to an hour for it. The very first time I ordered by calling and they lost my order. I couldn’t wait longer so I went somewhere else. This last time I walked over to place my order and ended up waiting another 30 min for the food over the quoted time. All times I visited the place didn’t seem busy (1 or no other parties) so I’m not sure why it would take so long…

I love Chakra! (And they deliver to Harlem!). This establishment cares about the food we put into our bodies and is mindful of allergies and intolerances. You can make custom orders based on what is best for you and your body. If only more restaurants in NYC were like this one! Try Chakra today, you won’t regret it.

Disappointed in the ambiance-much different than the web page pics. Food was average. Not asked about spice level for the food, whether we wanted brown rice or white. No contact w the original server after food was dropped off. Will not return.

Thanks to reviews here we tracked down this restaurant. We ordered the Clay Pot glass noodles and the Massaman Curry. Both dishes were hot and delicious. We got a complimentary serve of ginger tea which could come hot or cold. The menu was clearly labelled. Most items were also gluten free. They labelled a few items as “Not gluten free”.
