So happy to have a matcha shop on the UWS. Chalait has good matcha (and the homemade almond cashew milk is delicious), but also great food. I always get their sandwiches for lunch - the Farmhouse Crunch and BLAT are my favorites.

Cute sunny environment. I tried the vanilla matcha latte, and it was decent but a bit too milk which made it harder to taste the matcha. But the prices are fairly decent and less than a lot of coffee shops with worse matcha! A matcha cappuccino might taste better here since it’s a lower milk to matcha ratio.

Wonderful cafe! Loved the drinks especially the matcha strawberry latte and loved that it wasn’t too heavy or sweet.
It’s in a very lovely neighborhood too. The cafe is very clean with wonderful staff and swift in serving orders, so you barely feel the waiting time. Definitely recommend!
