Slightly odd wine pairing experience: the staff clearly took a lot of care about testing the wines were ok, but struggled a bit to explain why their recommendations matched the food.

The som — world class. She was awesome. Stellar bottle and was super receptive to us throwing a ton of different preferences at her for a group with varied tastes. She somehow managed to make magic out of our chaos. Mad respect. She is the only reason I haven’t completely blown up this review - everything else about this place was mean. The service was quite rude and condescending even though our bill was close to a grand (yes we still tipped 18%+ because we’re decent people).
I’m not a review guy. I like food. And I like all food and don’t ever want to diss the chefs that make something subjectively tasty whether or not it was our fave thing in the world……my issue with this place was our service. Extremely rude. Condescending to almost everyone at the table. We felt it from The moment we came in.
The food and wine were objectively tasty — I would have loved to return for a repeat. The service has us doing a double take wondering “what did we do wrong to deserve this treatment?”
Anyways, hopefully you have a better experience. I will personally stick to our faves in Brooklyn like Vinegar Hill House, Four Horsemen, and Bouquet for top tier food and wine and even better service where we feel like family.

The Chartreuse at the establishment is a pleasant end to the evening. Deep, herbal taste. Sweet, but not cloying. The aroma is rich, herbal with citrus notes. The presentation is neat, the temperature is perfect. The service is attentive. The atmosphere is relaxing. The price corresponds to the quality. I recommend trying it.

Chambers is the perfect restaurant. From the moment you walk in you can tell how much thought and intention has been put into every detail, the lighting the acoustics, the deliciously crafted seasonal menu— the mainstay sweetbreads are the most delicious plate I have ever tasted, I have to have them every single time. The service is phenomenal, everyone is an experts on the food and the Sommeliers do a wonderful job at helping you find that special bottle. Finally, the wine list is beautifully and carefully curated.
I’ve wanted to gatekeep Chambers, but after visiting last night yet again I decided to write a love letter to this amazing restaurant.

It was our first time at Chambers and we were so pleased with our choice and our evening! Dinner was yummy, the wine and cocktails were lovely, and our server was wonderful! Will def be back. Scallops were chefs kiss!
