The food was delicious and the owner was super friendly. We got the rice rolls with peanut and hoisin sauce (a classic) and the medium size tripe. Will definitely come back and try other things on the menu!

Shrimp Rice rolls with egg and fried dumplings. Thankfully there a a fellow customer who knew English and Chinese to help us order cause it was as authentic as it gets. Got exactly what I was hopping for an experience, great price and amazing authentic food with amazing service

Brought back a lot memories having authentic, rice rolls lathered in this amazing three combo soy sauce for breakfast on Saturday mornings (definitely include the peanut sauce and fish balls if you like). Great owners, and truly authentic place. Pretty hard to make at home too, so if you have a fix, get it from Chang Lai!!!

This place is a Manhattan Chinatown staple. They started as a little food cart on Grand St and then turned into this no-frills store front on Bayard. Every single time I’ve come in here, all the employees are so friendly and kind (can’t say that about all the spots here!). The rice noodle rolls are likely the best in this Chinatown - love the curry fish ball option and all the sauces; the combination is addictive and so good! Everything is made to order and fresh. The texture of the fish balls is on point. The price point also can’t be beat, especially now when everyone’s prices are going up! I hope they stay in biz forever.

Super delicious rice noodle!!! The lemon tea if also super tasty! Def a must try if you’re in the area!!! And the owner’s super friendly, feels very welcomed!

Soooo goooood!!! They’re a small shop but they only speak Cantonese/mandarin. We got chili sauce, peanut sauce, and soy sauce in both of the bowls and it was absolutely deliciousss. Rice noodles were also nice and chewy - the perfect texture.

The drinks are also so good omg not too sweet at all (we got them with less sugar). The lemon tea is so refreshing

The workers are also so friendly and energetic

Decided to try this eatery after seeing it included in Instagram videos... Enjoyed the curry fish ball noodles and the chicken/sweet corn noodles. Delicious! Also had a taro drink which was perfect, just the right amount of sweetness. I don't like the drinks when they are too sweet. Can't wait to visit again/
