I would give negative infinity if I could because who turns a Catholic Church into a bar? I would never even go here or feel comfortable being there.
Very cool bar and atmosphere. I had a wonderful cocktail. They also have a very cool private snug/room. Ask about a private party.
Such a cool Vibe at this place. coctails are solid and bartenders are friendly. prices are high, but it's a craft coctail bar in NYC what do you expect? worth it. i would skip the caviar appetizer next time. great date night spot. low lighting in an impressive space.
Cool vibe, bad drinks, stupid bill.
I understand New York pricing, but when did we get to the point where the establishment automatically adds 20% tips to every bill?
The ambiance was unique, and it would likely be a nice place to get together. Just be prepared to pay more for less and expect their shady business practices. Two basic drinks came to $64.14.
A must for drinks if you appreciate architecture
Was brought here by a friend as a surprise visit and it was awesome. Such a cool vibe with great drinks and a super helpful staff. Can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in town!
Great cocktails, beautiful space inside. Good times
I so badly want to love this place, but the ownership has failed time and time again. My partner and I are a 2 minute walk away and have had a blast drinking and dancing at the revamped Chapel Bar night club a few times over the past couple months. HOWEVER, I brought my family here tonight and the bar gave last call 15 minutes after we ordered our $25 cocktails and turned the lights on at 12am. Mind you, this place currently markets its close as 2am. The drinks were great, and the vibe is generally excellent but the obnoxious price and the fact that they kicked us out at 12am is embarrassing. Do not risk your evening plans coming here for an overpriced waste.
UPDATE: Gave this place another shot and it was pathetic. Server needed hand holding and couldn’t be ruder. Music was bad, crowd was worse / non-existent. Management is fumbling a cool location. At least the folks at the door / coat check are nice, but damn that’s a lot of overhead for no patrons. Place is basically resorted to farming the locals and nothing else, what a waste.
2nd UPDATE: 8 people in this bar, music sucks, drink took 10 minutes and they spilled on arrival, server did nothing to help. My LV wallet got soaked. Server flipped us the tab and it was $60 🤣 not itemized either, just baked in a “large group fee” of 20%, didn’t know just me and the Mrs. Was a large group, absolutely predatory, thank God I asked! You gotta imagine the creditors are circling this tenant. Joke of a bar, avoid.
FINAL UPDATE: Spoke to manager Lauren, she comped for our troubles, was very sweet. Honestly rooting for this local spot, place could literally be Gramercy’s Acme if they marketed effectively and cleaned up sophomoric issues. Wishing it well!
Landing on 2 stars tho, hope ownership reads.
Great ambiance and cocktails… unfortunately deserves 3 stars because of the lame music.

Cool lounge, a bit small. Ask for the private confessional booth, it’s cool.
Always be Home in

This bar in Manhattan is possibly the most pretentious. The staff doesn’t even make an effort to do the bare minimum, and the funky music choice creates a lame ambiance.

As per everyone else, the doorman was extremely rude and we were told it was a Members Only bar on a Tuesday evening. We were also told at midnight that they were about to close and it states online that you’re open until 2am. Maybe update your hours and “rules” online?
Either way rude doormen are never good for business! At least he was the same amount of RUDE to everyone

1 star for excellent ambiance. I sure will if I could find a place to put negative stars. So I ordered a Crypt and a pineapple juice. I got a bill for 45$. Even as a New Yorker, I got a sticker shock. Then I saw a 30% tip on the point-of-sale console. I adjusted it to $1.5 per drink. So it was at $40
I went back to my seat and got restless thinking about the amount. I went back to the bar to check the prices. The other bartender looked up the recent charges on his main console and told me I was charged for a mocktail that was four dollars extra.
So let's calculate now. Even at the current inflated prices of $36 including tips, there is a wide difference between that and the $45 that I was originally charged. Criminal. Not going back again. Photgrafiska Museum management should take cognizance of this.
