They closed after almost 4 decades. The food was fantastic and the orange flavored chicken, sublime.

My Chinese food staple in the upper east side, fast, friendly and good prices. The food is good and if you call direct you can get free delivery if you live close by.

Our order was ready in 3 minutes and the food tasted spoiled. We got a terrible stomach ache right after eating.Save your money, order elsewhere.

Great food. I got the orange beef and the Charley mom chicken. Both were excellent.

Not like I remembered,I haven’t ordered from here in a while.i remember ordering a sesame chicken lunch special and it had that crunch to it,this time around, the chicken tasted doughy and soggy, rice was warm(maybe cause it was a delivery?).I’ll give it another try, maybe it just was a bad day for the cook?,idk.

Low quality chicken, bland egg rolls, good hot and sour soup, pretty good fried rice. Will only get fried rice going forward.

This is my first time ordering here, but it is also the last time. I feel cheated. It’s really bad?.
Great old school Chinese American takeout. Good prices too.
Few places in Yorkville have lasted as long as Charley Mom. Primarily for takeouts (very limited seating and no table service), they serve the familiar favorites. The fried dishes do lose their crispness (in transit) so I would not order those. The sautéed dishes are ok. Service is fast.

I ordered sweet & sour chicken. I got boiled chicken parts covered with a can of pineapple in heavy syrup. This place is disgusting and I’m unsure how they are still in business. The authorities should investigate if they have some illegal gambling ring in the back, because it sure isn’t a kitchen.
