We had reservations, our table was not ready when we arrived, even though the restaurant was practically empty. The menu online is not the menu there. Not a restaurant for children as stated either. Two out of our 5 orders were wrong and the waiter never name back once we got it sorted out to offer us another drink or water even, so we had nothing to drink with our meal. We spoke to the manager and he blamed Covid....that was 3 years ago, nothing to do with today's poor service. Very disappointing experience.

Service was slow and careless. Food was mediocre and expensive - find someplace else to eat

I visited this place on 4th floor and I found great atmosphere. Guitar play and singing are not very normal for me on Tuesday. I order a vodka on the rocks and a fries platter and it’s cost me $35 with 10 % tip. I will visit again as this is the cozy baar. I relaxed and my back pain gone on their soft couches ?

This may be the best little place to unwind after being in Times Square. During the week they have a little jazz band that plays just the right music at just the right volume to be entertaining without intrusive. It's actually pretty fantastic. The food is pretty good, but suffers from the descriptions on the menu, which didn't conceptualize the actual food very well. The staff is terrific and friendly, the food is delicious but not ordinary. All in all we came here after a busy business day and it was a great place to unwind. Also there were a few birthday's going on different nights, so it seems a good place for those, too.

Food is just ok for a nice steakhouse. Nothing special going on here. Service is fast and they seem to rush you through dinner.

Unbelievable, overlooking times square while eating breakfast, top notch experience.

Best coffee in NYC. The place is beautiful and comfy for the daily stop, but definitely the best grab to go coffee. Since we discovered it, we went everyday for our morning coffee.

This hotel-based cafe located at the “The Knickerboard Hotel” is Times Square’s best kept secret, loaded with timeless history dating back to the titanic. John Jacob Astor IV was an American business magnate, real estate developer, investor, writer, lieutenant colonel in the Spanish-American War, and a prominent member of the Astor family. He died in the sinking of the RMS Titanic during the early hours of April 15, 1912. Astor was the richest passenger aboard the RMS Titanic and was thought to be among the richest people in the world at the time. Here at Jack’s at The Knick, John Jacob Astor IV and his son John Jacob Astor VI, also known as Jakey (born four months after his father’s death) can be seen portrayed on the shelves of the cafe. What was once known as a subway entrance transformed into a masterpiece tunnel fixture with round ceilings and dim lights is now known as one of New York City’s best kept secrets due to its low key, low lighting, peaceful aura.

I went here for a client breakfast. It’s in Times Square. Don’t confuse this for the Charlie Palmer Steak house. Ambience is good but food not so great. Got the a la carte menu for breakfast. Everything tasted just ok!

I am currently staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square - Central next door to the Knickerbocker Hotel on 42nd street. Each day I make brief trips to Charlie Palmer for cocktails, dinner and breakfast. The options are far superior to the in-house restaurant at the Hilton named Pauls. My bartender at the roof top facility is Dogan. Always personable and attentive. I usually get a “screwdriver” and make a selection form their small bites bar Menu for dinners. Everything served has been excellent including an assortment of Mediterranean Olives to a Meat and Tray Plate of cold cuts. Proper explanations of the items on the plate are briefly and accurately described by Dogan who is from Turkey. For breakfast on the 4th floor there is an expensive buffet, but my excellent hostess and server Lisette allowed me to make an individual order of orange juice, coffee and pastry. Small orders were not allowed at the restaurant at the Hilton. It was the $28.00 buffet or nothing. I will continue to walk to Charlie’s each day for the morning and evening events. Since I am staying for twelve nights I find the experience at the “Knick” far superior to my other in-house option. Give them a try when you are visiting the Theater District.

Mom made a 10:45 am reservation on Mother's Day, for 4, and we drove in from Long Island. She calls at 10:30 with "bad news"... they're at the restaurant and just told it's closing at 11:00 !! Why would they take a reservation (days ago) if they planned to close the kitchen at 11:00?? "We tried to reach out to you to let you know," they claimed. Reminded us of the Seinfeld scene at the car rental counter. "Anybody can just take a reservation!"

Meals were delivered cold. Sent back and came back worse. Very expensive dog food at best. Sorry guys we gave it a try. If you are going to serve mediocre food please price it accordingly and there will not be any hard feelings.
