We ordered the String Beans ($15), Lotus Root ($15), Braised Pork in Mao’s Style ($20), Chongqing Style Fried Chicken ($20), Fish ($22), Cabbage ($14), Scallion Pancake (free from leaving a review), Braised Spare Ribs ($22), and Eggplant ($15). Chef Tan is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC, every time I come to NY this is a must go. Their “steamed cabbage & glass noodles w. Garlic” is unmatched anywhere, the taste is not only authentic but truly memorable, they offer a great variety of choices that satisfy every person’s needs. One of the best!
Food is good but service is not good. Staff demands at least an 18 percent tip- staff never comes and checks on customers- you will be given check on a dirty table because staff doesn't bus tables until after customers leave. SERVICE doesn't equate 18, 20 or 25 percent tip but staff demands it.
