The food here is of the highest quality. The service is great. The waitstaff is very nice and very efficient. We have eaten here twice and everything we have ordered is amazing. I can especially recommend the shrimp wonton soup with ramen noodles. The wontons and noodles are freshly made. The broth is light and flavorful. I just love this restaurant.

Treated my daughter and 8 of her friends for her 17th birthday (post-Karaoke!). They loved the restaurant itself, the food, friendly service. The value was excellent. Highly recommended

What happened???? I have had a quick lunch of chow fun and hot oil dumplings in the recent past and it was fine. Decided to order multiple things for dinner this evening and found the food mostly inedible. Young Chow Fried Rice with absolutely no seasoning??????? This should be an easy one.................. All of it depressed me so I had no choice but to throw it out. How sad - I fondly remember back in the day when it was associated with Gingers on seventh Avenue where I could easily transition between having lunch there a few times a week and usually on Fridays doing takeout for home and it was always delicious. Apparently as the saying goes -?all good things eventually come to an end and that would be the case here - maybe for some people, they still like it, but I will not be back as there are too many more delicious places in New York to celebrate Chinese cuisine.

Have been here about 5 or 6 times and have never had a bad experience. The food is amazing fresh and comes out quick. Love going during happy hour having some drinks and food and the portions are nice size. I recommend trying the house fried rice.

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS RESTAURANT I was a regular customer until there was a problem with my order and the restaurant refused to correct the problem. I don't spend my money at restaurants that don't respect their customers and are not interested in correcting their mistakes. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS RESTAURANT

Was in NYC for the weekend, did a quick google search for Chinese food near my hotel…found Chef Yu. The older gentleman that took our order was very polite, food was ready in 10 minutes. The ambiance was beautiful, modern, sophisticated and not crowded. Seated as soon as my husband and I walked in. Food was fantastic, the best beef and broccoli I’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be back next time we are in NYC.

Great favorites here. Very tasty authentic midtown venue. Good options for the pickiest eater! Enjoy!

I ordered the lomein and shredded beef lunch special from Chef Yu. Each entree was under $15 which I thought was a good deal. It was my first time ordering from here. My order was ready for pick up quickly. The beef lunch special came with rice, a choice of soup and a side salad. When I came to pick up my order, a lot of people were there for lunch, mostly working people in the area. The restaurant is pretty big. The portion sizes of each were generous, especially the lomein. They definitely load up the beef entree with veggies but there's a good amount of meat in there too. I thought the food was probably a 5.5 or 6/10. It was just okay. I probably enjoyed the beef more than the lomein though each was kind of greasy. The restaurant has a nice sized menu though, so I'd be open to trying something else. For the price, I think it's a nice option.

It feels everyone is in their own cubicle staring and commenting on each other and very uncomfortable place to eat.

Had the best vegetarian General Tso of my life here, this place was an absolute gem. Right next to the train station, it looked way too fancy for the cheap prices, we walked by it then looked on the Yelp and turned around and came back. It's roomy and beautiful inside, food was delicious and priced about the same as back home in small town Texas.

If you have to eat in Times Square, don't. But if you really have to, this place is pretty alright. Standard fare for a Chinese restaurant in America.
