My wife and I went here for our 12 year anniversary. “Perfect” is an understatement. I’ve been to a little more than half a dozen 3-star Michelin restaurants over the past decade, and Chef’s Table was one of the best for me. They nailed it from the moment we walked in right to the very end, when they brought out a special dessert dish with a candle to top off our anniversary occasion, and then one of the chef’s came by to congratulate us. I can say they had incredibly fresh and rare ingredients, and prepared it all impeccably - almost in an unreal, dreamlike fashion. But that’s what you expect at a 3-star Michelin place, so that shouldn’t be surprising (although I feel that I ate more flowers here). The way they combined the ingredients, the meticulous attention to detail (that we could see clearly form our table), and the clear respect the kitchen and waiting staff had for each other might have been what set this restaurant apart. The flavors came to life in my mouth. I wouldn’t stop chewing after the food was gone, just to savor the flavors for even another short moment. I know things can’t be perfect in this world, but Chef’s Table is right there. Our waiting staff was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and prompt, but they were also very human and able to anticipate our thoughts. They connected with us unlike previous experiences - simply because they knew that’s what we wanted. Chefs Table has left a lasting memory better than any I’ve had to date. We went there right after seeing The Great Gadspy, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. This is a meal we will remember for ever. Thank you very much for being so amazing. We will be back.

The best restaurant experience I have ever had. I am not new to Michelin star restaurants, I try to visit a few each year. This one best them all. The attention to detail is perfect. The service is top notch, the counter seat experience was very cool. Being hidden within a regular grocery market is very… New York. Cant wait to return in 2025.

Amazing, special, food and wine pairings. The service was impeccable. The only complaint I have is the other diners snapping away at their phones and taking flash photography and videos. There should be a no phone policy.

JUST AMAZING. I had the dinner of a life time the decided to do the wine paring with my dinner and it was worth every penny. The Somm (which I forgot her name) was just incredibly professional and great explaining the wines all of them with such much passion to the point that while I was drinking them I was asking her where I could buy some of them to bring home with me please treat yourself and get the paring. To the Chefs Table team thank you so so much for the amazing attention to detail and for the unforgettable memories, dishing my flight to Amsterdam was totally worth it 💙💙💙💙

You walk out of there feeling so nourished, cherished and appreciated by the staff. This restaurant deserves 3 Michelin stars without a doubt and we know the 3 starred restaurants well in this city. The wine glasses are hand blown cristal, there is not a single detail that is sub-par. Every piece has a story and a relationship to the owners or the cooks, from the garnish of fig leaf sent from I think it was Italy by the family of one of the chefs to the Belgian waffle sea urchin dish. This place is not to be missed. Also fyi, it’s in Manhattan.
Dietary restrictions: They take dietary restrictions very seriously and no matter what you eat it’s amazing!

Absolutely loved the tasting menu at Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare! The relaxed atmosphere made for an enjoyable evening, allowing us to savor each dish. The quality of ingredients of the 14 course menu was outstanding, and every course was a delightful surprise. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. The team also had an incredible energy that also added to the overall experience. Highly recommend the wine pairing as well !

Having dined at Chef's Table twice before and after the restaurants change of chefs, we’re genuinely puzzled by its recent exclusion from the Michelin Guide 3 stars. If anything, our second visit was even more remarkable than our first. With two new chefs at the helm, the experience felt refined and exciting, bringing fresh energy to an already impeccable dining concept.

It’s the real deal. This restaurant is worthy of three stars and the level of service and attention to detail are truly exceptional. Not a single dish was disappointing. I couldn’t hold back my delight at every bite. We will be back again.

Possibly the best meal to be had in NYC. CTBF is known for their luxury ingredients flown in from around the world. BUT, it’s not just expensive ingredients. The flavors were complex and exciting, carefully built up layer by layer, full of intention. CTBF is a restaurant like no other. I simply would not be able to find these flavors anywhere else in the city. In a sea of generic fine dining spots, CTBF stands out as a beacon of culinary artistry at the highest level.
I almost fainted from how delicious the initial bites were. The initial “wow” was from the textures: everything felt the right size and thickness, crunch and resistance. Then I discovered something new about the dish with each subsequent chew, whether the pickled corn or the deeply savory eel. And then the hits kept on coming. There was not a single miss. Everything was delicious, but two dishes stood out as the most unique. The scallops in vin jaune and fig leaf oil had a herbal coconut-like quality I’ve never experienced before. The langoustine in satay sauce, pandan foam, and hibiscus was born out of the chefs’ Dutch heritage. Truly, you can’t find these flavors anywhere else.
The $345 14-course tasting menu is currently underpriced. Get yourself in here before the prices inevitably go up by a hundred dollars. I think CTBF is currently rebuilding their reputation and customer base under the new chefs, hence the special price.
Usually I dislike overuse of luxury ingredients as they’re often a crutch that hinders creativity. Here, I never felt that way. The luxury ingredients were never an afterthought. The chefs treated them as the main stars and worked to bring out their best flavors. My only nitpick is I wish there was a dish where caviar was the star instead of a side ingredient, as it was overshadowed by the oyster and the scallop.
The beverage pairing was excellent and worth getting. They did two things really well. First, they understood that customers get more value out of smaller pours from more wines. After all, we’re here to taste wine, not to get drunk. It was a lot of wine but with the pacing I never felt drunk during the meal. Second, they kept the pairing interesting. The eleven drinks had little overlap in flavor profile. They also broke the structure a bit, pairing a sweet Coteaux du Layon with an uni waffle at the beginning of the meal instead of a dessert.
Service and hospitality were warm and wonderful. Even though many of the lines were obviously rehearsed, I felt that I was talking to real human beings and not a bunch of unfeeling robots. They also minded the small details, like making sure the logo on the wine glass faces the customer when setting the table. They made the experience much more comfortable than at other restaurants of this caliber.
There’s no sugarcoating it: a meal here is really expensive, $345 for the tasting menu and $320 for the wine pairing. But you know what? I’d do it again. I fully got my money’s worth. And most importantly, I walked out with a huge smile on my face.

Would highly recommend this place for those who like seafood-forward tasting menus. I was quite impressed by the balanced flavor combinations, beautiful presentation, friendly and welcoming service, and knowledge of the staff. Every dish I had was phenomenal, including a Hokkaido Uni served on a warm piece of belgian waffle, an abalone dish with mushrooms, and a langoustine dish with a coconut and hibiscus foam. The huckleberry dessert as well as the fujisan bread were also outstanding.
I found the staff to be professional and warm. I was not drinking that evening and had some of the non-alcoholic drinks. The cucumber lemongrass drink is highly recommended. I was sitting at the counter so could also hear the sommelier's explanation of wines for those seated next to me. Her knowledge and stories about the vintners, terroir, and nuances of the wine were impressive and fascinating to listen to.
As some may know, this is the second incarnation of Chef's Table. When it moved to its current location and changed chef's Michelin treated it as a new restaurant and "took away" its stars. I'd say that Chef Max and Chef Marco are well on their way towards Michelin stars for the current iteration of the restaurant.

Surprising, young, exciting. This is highest quality fine dining beyond the old-fashioned standards of usual haute cuisine restaurants. The atmosphere here is a much welcomed change to the landscape of Michelin restaurants.
We dined here as a couple. We had the chefs tasting menue and shared one wine pairing with an extra by the glass champagne. It was an extraordinary culinary experience. The quality of food and drinks is of highest standard. The devotion and passion of the team in the kitchen and service are outstanding.
Sitting on high chairs at the counter observing the chefs prepare your meals creates an intimate almost casual atmosphere and makes you appreciate the food and wine even more.
The amount of food and drinks served was perfect for us. The wine pairing is fun and well worth the money with great stuff such as Dom Perignon and an older wine vintage 1994.
The only thing not ideal for us was the relatively low room temperature. So make sure you bring a jacket or pashmina to fully enjoy if you get cold easily.
What this young team has already achieved is incredible.
We hope to come back many times.

Really cool spot in the back of the grocery store.
Great music most of the night sorta tailed off at the end of the night.
I would have given it 5 stars but for $560 with tax and tip; I was still really hungry by the time I got home.
Everything was delicious except the crab dish which really didn’t do it for ne and the presentation was on point.
I would love to go back but because of the price and most likely needing to eat a meal before I go I wouldn’t go back.
