Please disregard old reviews, the team has changed completely since a year or so and you have (for now) a 3 star restaurant disguised as a 2 star one. The menu we were offered today was a masterclass of flavors, textures, balance, originality and quality. I cannot recommend this place strongly enough. I would fly to New York from Europe again just to dine here again.
Went there on a Tuesday night with three friends it’s a very relaxing environment food was great, the staff was wonderful.
They have a definite dress code that I was not aware of, I was wearing cream color linen shorts with stripes and a the cream color polo shirt with lace up shoes I also noticed the other guests In the restaurant were not aware of the dress code but they were kind and managed to accommodate us all.
This was my first time dining at Chef’s Table, back in 2019, and the experience was truly unforgettable. From the very first bite of tuna tartare, the flavors absolutely exploded in my mouth, setting the tone for the entire evening. Each course offered a bold and surprising combination of flavors that kept us excited for what was coming next.
The highlight of the night was undoubtedly Chef Ramirez’s signature uni toast—an absolute showstopper. The meal concluded with a delicate, fluffy shaved ice that perfectly balanced sweetness with a cloud-like texture. It felt like a blend of flavor and magic.
Even to this day, Chef’s Table remains one of the best Michelin-starred restaurants we’ve ever visited.
Still THE Chef’s Table.
Even after a high-profile split with Chef César Ramirez and the loss of its three Michelin stars, the experience still met, and in many ways exceeded, my expectations. This has been a bucket-list restaurant for me ever since I moved to the U.S., and I loved every single moment of it.
Chef’s Table has been around for over a decade, but walking through a regular grocery store, past the butcher section and guys in shorts and pink flip-flops, still felt oddly magical. There was just something surreal about that contrast.
After being greeted, we were seated at the center of the counter, with a panoramic view of the kitchen: from the canapé and grill stations to the vegetable and sauce prep areas. Despite the relatively new lineup (the current team has been in place for less than two years) the kitchen and front-of-house moved with incredible precision and synergy. Co-executive Chefs Max Natmessnig and Marco Prins were “leading” the kitchen, but you wouldn’t guess it from their presence. No ego, no detachment, just hands-on intensity and quiet discipline. They worked side-by-side with the younger cooks, right in the thick of it, with the same focus and urgency.
Food-wise, Chef’s Table still leaned on its French-Japanese fusion roots from Cesar Ramirez’s era, but it seemed like the kitchen was evolving away from his signature touches, like the iconic uni toast. The level of genuineness and creative identity may not feel as singular as before, but what was served were still technically excellent. Thoughtfully composed dishes built around unconventional (or at least uncommon) ingredients, particularly by U.S. fine dining standards. The current interpretation of French-Japanese fusion tilted more toward the French side. The Japanese influence was mostly ingredient-driven—elements like Miyazaki Wagyu, Abalone, and Codium seaweed. Still, the execution was pristine, and a few dishes were mindblowingly good.
3 hours dinning experience makes me more and more hungry…donot come if you are hungry…
The Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare is a must if you allergic phenomenal food.
My wife and I went here for our 12 year anniversary. “Perfect” is an understatement. I’ve been to a little more than half a dozen 3-star Michelin restaurants over the past decade, and Chef’s Table was one of the best for me. They nailed it from the moment we walked in right to the very end, when they brought out a special dessert dish with a candle to top off our anniversary occasion, and then one of the chef’s came by to congratulate us. I can say they had incredibly fresh and rare ingredients, and prepared it all impeccably - almost in an unreal, dreamlike fashion. But that’s what you expect at a 3-star Michelin place, so that shouldn’t be surprising (although I feel that I ate more flowers here). The way they combined the ingredients, the meticulous attention to detail (that we could see clearly form our table), and the clear respect the kitchen and waiting staff had for each other might have been what set this restaurant apart. The flavors came to life in my mouth. I wouldn’t stop chewing after the food was gone, just to savor the flavors for even another short moment. I know things can’t be perfect in this world, but Chef’s Table is right there. Our waiting staff was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and prompt, but they were also very human and able to anticipate our thoughts. They connected with us unlike previous experiences - simply because they knew that’s what we wanted. Chefs Table has left a lasting memory better than any I’ve had to date. We went there right after seeing The Great Gadspy, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. This is a meal we will remember for ever. Thank you very much for being so amazing. We will be back.

The best restaurant experience I have ever had. I am not new to Michelin star restaurants, I try to visit a few each year. This one best them all. The attention to detail is perfect. The service is top notch, the counter seat experience was very cool. Being hidden within a regular grocery market is very… New York. Cant wait to return in 2025.

Amazing, special, food and wine pairings. The service was impeccable. The only complaint I have is the other diners snapping away at their phones and taking flash photography and videos. There should be a no phone policy.

JUST AMAZING. I had the dinner of a life time the decided to do the wine paring with my dinner and it was worth every penny. The Somm (which I forgot her name) was just incredibly professional and great explaining the wines all of them with such much passion to the point that while I was drinking them I was asking her where I could buy some of them to bring home with me please treat yourself and get the paring. To the Chefs Table team thank you so so much for the amazing attention to detail and for the unforgettable memories, dishing my flight to Amsterdam was totally worth it 💙💙💙💙

You walk out of there feeling so nourished, cherished and appreciated by the staff. This restaurant deserves 3 Michelin stars without a doubt and we know the 3 starred restaurants well in this city. The wine glasses are hand blown cristal, there is not a single detail that is sub-par. Every piece has a story and a relationship to the owners or the cooks, from the garnish of fig leaf sent from I think it was Italy by the family of one of the chefs to the Belgian waffle sea urchin dish. This place is not to be missed. Also fyi, it’s in Manhattan.
Dietary restrictions: They take dietary restrictions very seriously and no matter what you eat it’s amazing!

Absolutely loved the tasting menu at Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare! The relaxed atmosphere made for an enjoyable evening, allowing us to savor each dish. The quality of ingredients of the 14 course menu was outstanding, and every course was a delightful surprise. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. The team also had an incredible energy that also added to the overall experience. Highly recommend the wine pairing as well !

Having dined at Chef's Table twice before and after the restaurants change of chefs, we’re genuinely puzzled by its recent exclusion from the Michelin Guide 3 stars. If anything, our second visit was even more remarkable than our first. With two new chefs at the helm, the experience felt refined and exciting, bringing fresh energy to an already impeccable dining concept.
