They charged 50c surcharge per egg because of the “egg shortage”. This is more than the cost of eggs at the grocery store. Gotta love blatant profiteering.
The food is also average but significantly overpriced. There are better diner options less than 6 min walk away.
Good diner food and done experience. Something on the menu for everyone.

It's great, but it's SO expensive. I got an omelette which came with hash browns and toast-- $35 after tax, tip, and fees!!!
The chorizo omelette was very tasty. Staff was kind.
I would go again, but only occasionally because of the price. The reason is there are other high-end restaurants where I could have a fancier meal for a similar price, but that said I did still enjoy the food and the experience.

I've often passed by this place while in the area and only just recently went for breakfast. The food and coffee were not the best in comparison to other locations I've dined at, but that's my opinion. At least not for the price charged.
Regular, basic diner food…the prices are CRAZY high! I realise rents and expenses are high, but the prices are CRAZY high! $16 for frozen mozzarella sticks!

12/21/24 back again for breakfast.
Seems like new owners...
All prices are up about $1 from the menu i posted a few months ago.
I didn't get a chance to take new pics.
Me and the GF had Western egg Sammies. Turkey sausage on the side (3 big reds for $9) and rice pudding for dessert. All good.
11/15/19 update: had the mussels marinara (on special), not too bad for a diner.
Always good, always a fun spot. Soups are good, rice pudding is good, pancakes are good and the turkey sausage is good too. Coffee..... Yes, free refils, more please.

The waiter was excellent making sure we had everything we needed food was good It's on the pricey side but what isn't
Quite a spacious diner with lots of seating either at the counter, in the booths or in a sort of conservatory part with big windows that look onto 8th. All the usual diner food and drink on offer plus some specials. Service is good and friendly too.

They have a great Reuben and the fries weren't crinkle so that's a plus. I hate crinkle fries

The food is standard diner food. We kept it simple by ordering a grilled cheese and fries. It came with coleslaw and a pickle. It was a solid sandwich- no notes. The carrot cake was recommended by the staff so we ordered that and the tiramisu. Both had a stale refrigerator taste to them. To be fair, it’s always a gamble ordering desserts at a diner.
What really put us off with this experience:
As we were paying the guy at the cash register asked if we were paying with cash, credit, debit, or UNDERWEAR. As we walked in comments were made to us because we were a group of girls. We didn’t really respond to them and proceeded to our table. The comment when we went to pay our check made us feel uncomfortable and soured the moment.
Considering that the menu was standard and the experience uncomfortable, we won’t be visiting again.
