Want tea around NYU campus? Sip perfection with customized drinks like Unforgivable and Chijito here at Chihiro Tea. Best tea in the neighborhood! Cute, cozy interior, though a bit cramped with students. Don't miss the NYU student discount. A must-visit oasis, especially in steamy summer!

There's a really cute barista that works here. He kinda took my breath away instantly, wish I got his number Oh yeah I guess the tea was good too haha. It's a nice spot to bring a friend and chill, few boba spaces actually have tables and chairs so it was nice for a change. Also having oat milk/almond as an option is a great touch.

Good bubble tea. The boba was too soft for me though...maybe been cooking too long, or maybe it's just the style. The milk tea itself was good. The inside decor is cool, you can play board games and maybe study, although the counter is a bit thin so hard to put too many papers. During the winter the heating felt too hot...

Had a tablet to order, which I prefer, and the Passion Impact was wonderful. The lighting is very warm, which, combined with the adorable artwork on the wall and kitty pictures, makes for a very comfortable atmosphere.

Oh my god, this place deserves 5 stars alone for the mango pomelo sago. Truly the best drink! It's refreshing, light, and full of wonderful mango flavor. I love the texture of the sago, and they're always perfectly cooked. This really hit the spot on a summer day, but even in the cold, I really enjoyed this. I always come here intending to try something else, but this is what I end up ordering again and again, so I can't really comment on the other drinks. Prices are about on par with other bubble tea places. It's a small place that is usually pretty packed with students because of the free wifi, but it's also close enough to Washington Square Park where you can enjoy your drink while people-watching there.

Chihiro is my go to boba place I've been here more than I can keep track of; the inside is super cute and cozy, the baristas are always super nice, and the drinks themselves are really good with the perfect QQ boba texture. The drinks are pretty pricey (but boba has been getting a lot more expensive nowadays, and they provide an NYU student discount). I've tried a lot of the menu including: unforgivable, chijito, grapefruit lover, momoka lemon, regular oolong milk tea, thai milk tea, the triplets, mango catcher, strawberry dreamer, masala chai, watermelon fantasy, killer grape and pina colada. My favorites of these are the triplets, pina colada, killer grape and strawberry dreamer.

I believe I got a sparkling yogurt milk tea with peach popping boba. This place has some interesting flavor combinations, but my drink didn't taste as unique as it sounded. I don't really get the hype with this place. I've had several drinks there now and they were all pretty bland and watery, though the boba pearls taste good and don't clump together as easily as other stores'. It's not a very big store, but there is a narrow place to sit, and the decor is quite nice.

You can’t go wrong with the mango pomelo sago! Check out the cute animal book and cat pictures before you leave :)

I stumbled onto this place because I was looking for a place to study for my exam. Wrong choice, because didn't realize this place was super tiny and not to mention too many folks hanging out here. Okay, the first person who took my order, I definitely couldn't understand her at all. I still don't know what she said to me, but I ended up just getting the Mango Sago drink and can I say, I am in HEAVEN? It was so freaking good.....like I wanted more and so I ordered more to take back and asked C if she wanted anything and so she got the same thing and she also thought it was good. I put in my order via touchscreen the second time and even though I asked them to seal the drink, they didn't follow directions and so they had to kill two plastic cups just so they can seal my drinks. I wasn't going straight home, so I couldn't lug around drinks without a sealed top. I want to say this is the best place for mango sago that I have found in the city. I didn't get any studying done, but finding this little gem was worth it.

I’m not sure why this place is so highly rated except maybe because they have charging stations, some free card/board games, and a 10% nyu student discount. Other than those things, I would not come back for the taste of the bubble tea. The tea itself was standard and the bubbles (similar to other reviews) were harder than most places, not a good chewy, and bland. Also, for a medium sized milk tea that came with tapioca, pudding, and grass jelly, the total with tax came to be $7.22. That price is definitely not worth the product I received. This store may be one of a kind (and I love supporting independent businesses) but the taste does not match the taste and prices of the typical boba chains.
