Where do I start with this place, colloquially known as the worst Chipotle in DC. Service is terrible and employees clearly don't want to be there. This lack of care shows in the quality of the food and small serving sizes given. They're constantly out of the most basic ingredients and wait times can be excessive given the relatively low traffic for this location. Most recently, the DC Health Department shut this location down for failing a health inspection (not surprising really). They've since reopened and I made the mistake of giving them another chance. Same issues as before. This place has earned the large number of negative reviews and I highly recommend that this location be avoided.

I'm finally ready to tell my story. Over the past year I have come to this Chipotle - just a few minutes walk from my home - and have tried to continuously give it chance while documenting my many experiences in my notes. Beginning with throwing my bowl away in my face, just to give me a bowl from a customer with the first initial of my name but much different ingredients at the top of this year, To continuously being out of main ingredients in the spring and summer, to the naturally problematic baseball season of low staff and low ingredients, to ending the year with several weeks of having no walk-in orders after around 6pm due to all registers "being down", not taking cash, and having alll employees hide in the back when you enter because the register will not be back up until 8:45/9:00pm (when they close). Today is the last time I will be engaging with this location. Proximity to me is fabulous and I love Chipotle, but where yesterday registers were down and no cash could be taken, today it is now miraculously cash only. Because I'm neither a cat or mouse, and failed recess due to not being the kind of gal to play games. I send you all good luck and patience. To 8th street I go, or anywhere else for that matter lol. Happy NYE!

This Chipotle has noticeably declined in quality over the years. On my recent visit, the beans were crusty, and there was an unsettling piece of plastic in my burrito bowl, which was actually the second time I had found plastic in my bowl from this location. The cleanliness of the location left a lot to be desired. I really love Chipotle and have only ever had consistently bizarre and unpleasant experiences with the Navy Yard location.

I love chipotle, but this was bad, like really bad. Bad service, a lot of food topping options were out. Then the card machine stopped working and it took about 5 minutes to finish order. Definitely by far the worst chipotle I've been to and I am very easy going. I highly regret paying for it :(

We live by this chipotle but the service and accuracy of our orders is SO BAD that wedon’t get chipotle anymore. The workers are openly rude, ingredients are almost always out, and the last 7 orders I made were all inaccurately completed. Its a shame because we love the company. If the service and accuracy was consistent we would have regularly eaten here. The only thing consistent is the poor service. It has made me question how well chipotle corporate is managing quality across locations.

Service was terrible. Only one kid who looked tired was working the counter with like 10 people in line.One guy was cleaning the grill at like 7:30 even though they close at 9 or 10 I think. The only guy operating the counter was out of brown rice, both types of beans, and sour cream and he only warned me when it was my turn. Was running low on chicken, cheese, and all types of salsa.Atmosphere: mostly young sailors. Lots of young people.

Out of brown rice, black beans, two kinds of meat, corn, and chips when I went in. I had the saddest-looking bowl ever. I never leave reviews, but this place is absolutely terrible. I always drive an extra 10 minutes to go to another Chipotle. Avoid at all costs.

This is the dirtiest Chipotle I have ever been to. The tables are not wiped, floors need to be swept, and the walls are stained. Just this alone gives a bad vibe and dining experience. Has Chipotle's corporate office actually taken a look at this place and approved them to continue to operate under their brand name? The food and service is average Chipotle. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place.

Service is horrible. Place is dirty. Placed an online order. Picked it up, got it home only to find I had the wrong order. Had to drive back to get the correct order. No apology, no nothing. My advice, EAT ANYWHWRE ELSE!!!!
