The food was amazing!!! It took a little bit to come, but was well worth it. Place looks very traditional, and the owner is very kind.

This store would’ve been a hidden gem if the food quality was better. To say it nice, the store was quiet and cozy but to say it another way it was dusty and depressing. Since there is only one old man in this store preparing for food, serving, and receiving payment, it seems like he was very busy. The water was yellowish for sure just as mentioned in another review. The food was neither the worst nor the best. I ordered Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen but it didn't taste like the menu name and taste more like a Shio Vegtable Ramen with one large piece of fried meat.

Green pepper ramen was great. Chicken Katsu was good too but very light curry. I think it’s the same one they use in the curry ramen

Disappointed! A friend and I went to this restaurant last November. When we entered, we were the only two women of color. We weren't greeted, but we were told to sit anywhere. So we sat at the table closest to the counter. We placed our order and waited for our food. There was a table of men seated across from us and another seating area near the window. A group of women walked in and they were immediately greeted. We were asked to move to the other seated area near the window- and they were rude about it. We moved anyway. We waited for our food and the women who were seated after us were served first. When we got our food, it was lukewarm and it had a hair in it. I took it to the counter to complain about it. He ordered me another plate of food. The shrimp in the rice tasted old. I didn't even have an appetite after that. He gave me the bill and I was charged for both plates of food. I will never return to this place again and I advise women of color to steer clear.

Humble, quiet, independently-owned spot. Nothing fancy but cozy, traditional home-cooking! It's run by one older gentleman named Kei on his own. When I went, it was empty, and he shuffled out to meet me. If he doesn't come out to instantly greet you, he is cooking an order at the back. People who frequent seem to know all this and seat themselves patiently.

Can enjoy some ramen while watching life float by the window. Come support Kei and Cho-Ko!

Walking into Cho-Ko feels more like stepping into someone's home than a restaurant. Ran by a single man, he will greet you, take your order, cook your food, and serve you your food.

In a sea of restaurants trying to impress you with their decorum, their service, and their ingenuity, and their fancy plating. We forget that there are places that exists just to simply serve you food.

I ordered the Wontons as my starter and a good old fashioned plate of Yakisoba. Ten wontons were served inside a small bowl, swimming in a salted broth. The Yakisoba was not trying to be anything else. It is comparable to the ones that you would get at a cart during a seasonal festival in Japan. Simple.

I dont think anything here was impressive. Its just good affordable food.

Best authentic Ramen spot in the city, worth paying any congestion toll to get here. Doesn’t get better than this, and you can’t beat the prices. Oishii

A small dingy local shop run by one man, be patient for your food. I rated 3 stars solely on food quality- I ordered the summer soba and was pretty disappointed. What my friend ordered was pretty good, so I probably just ordered wrong. Upon entering the shop it feels like you went to a ramen shop in Japan. This neighborhood staple has been around ages.

Just got back from our trip to Japan and this place was like a quick jump back. Food was so tasty, got kimchi, menna, tsukemen, and steamed buns. Delicious all for under 40$

This was the nicest ramen restaurant I've been to in years, and I mean nice like KIND. The food was incredible, don't get me wrong, but there were so many little things that made it feel wonderful inside. The bathroom is through the kitchen, but they still let you go inside, and there are toys on the sill. The music is classic rock hits from your childhood. The prices are so so reasonable! Did I mention the food is incredible?
