I love the calamari here, but I was recently turned away at 11:00 for a table when I was allowed to book a 10:45 reservation and was honestly just really sad because I really love the food here!

Beautiful spot for birthdays and dates. I loved the food. I've tried the lobster Mac and cheese and it was delicious. The drinks were absolutely good.

First off the staff here is not friendly and the other reviews on here are bs. The food is way too over priced for what you receive. There are so many other restaurants in the area don’t waste your time or money in this one.

Best soul food!! Music is fire the dj plays everything from afrobeats, hip hop & R&B, rap, etc. Will always be visiting!!

Yikes… I’m writing this in the car as I leave Chocolat Restaurant & Bar. Maybe coming on a Sunday at 6PM was a mistake, but after receiving a terribly over priced and watered down drink we waited over 40 minutes for food. I watched every patron who arrived after us (AND the entire staff) receive their food and be nearly done by the time I was able to get someone’s attention to ask where my food was. Emmanuel was pleasant could’ve been more attentive to ensure that I was, at least informed that the food was going to be a while. Sad that such a staple in the community isn’t the same. Won’t be back.

Wonderful atmosphere. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely delicious. Short ribs are the best I have tasted in quite some time.

First time going to this restaurant and food was not good, the service was not great either (had to catch the person to request things too busy talking amongst themselves), and the atmosphere was okay but the building has that old smell.

My son recommended this restaurant. The ambiance was modern, not cramped and busy. The music was pumping and though I prefer jazz and R&B, I tolerated the hip hop but they did switch to other music. The food and chocolate martini would make you tolerate anything. Yes, that good. A little pricey but well worth it. The noise level was expected because there were groups that came in together. I prefer not to talk loud when out to dinner. The waiter was okay, not as attentive as I would like. However, the food and drinks made you forget the other issues. Highly recommended. Will be returning on a regular basis and I live 90 minutes away and the food is worth the trip.
