We went to this restaurant for the first time last night to meet a friend who lives near the restaurant who has been there a few times. We were excited because of the ratings plus we saw that it was packed on a rainy Wednesday. The restaurant is nicely appointed. I liked the metal coat check tags (nice touch and great for the environment). The bar is large and beautiful. We had a nice comfy booth in the restaurant. We were a party of 3. The drink menu did not have any cocktails that caught my eye. I went with a spicy margarita which was delicious. We ordered the focaccia which was incredible. I tried not to eat a lot of bread because I wanted to save my appetite for dinner. For dinner, we ordered the goat cheese salad, 3 different pasta dishes, the trout and the ribeye. The salad did not look visually appealing and it was extremely salty - we ate less than a third of it. The pastas were all delicious but one had pork and it was not clear from the menu that it had pork. One member of our party does not eat pork for religious purposes. The wait staff removed her soiled plate and brought over the same pasta dish without the pork which was very accommodating. The most disappointing part of our meal were the trout and ribeye (and salad as mentioned above). They were all overly salty - not enjoyable. We left most of it on the plates. We wanted to let our waiter know but he was missing in action as the night progressed. We told another staff member who told us the fish sits in a salted brine which makes it salty. We then wanted to get the hazelnut and pistachio gelati. The waiter warned us that both are salty, so we passed on dessert. We were glad he warned us but overall this was a disappointing experience. The chef needs to go easy on the salt.

This is one of those money machine large volume NYC (or anywhere really) restaurants. The ambiance takes the front seat. The food is unremarkable, the half chicken like rubber, it is poached because there is no time to roast it properly. Take it off of the menu if you cannot do it right. The broccoli was good. The service was excellent. The martini at the bar was a standout. Overall, OK if you aren’t as concerned with the culinary experience but looking for a place to simply go out and have a drink & meal.

This place is amazing! There was alcohol in the elevator on the way up but the ride was over before we had any. The prices are pretty high but worth the splurge. I went with a group of 5 and so we got to try a lot of things. We shared a few starters. The focaccia bread is an absolute must! I also enjoyed the insalata verde although it could have had slightly less dressing, but that’s a personal preference. The scallop tartare was my least favorite and was just ok. The pizza Bianca would be hit or miss if you like anchovies or not. I shared the ravioli which was amazing and pork Milanese. The Pork Milanese was shared by our table of 5 and we all had a bit and it’s a huge portion. You could each order some apps, pasta and share that and be full. The service was 5* and our table faced the illuminated Empire State Building. The dark chocolate sorbet was small but rich enough you only needed a few bites. I’ll def be back but only if someone else is expensing the meal.*Make sure you don’t cancel your reservation after the cancellation window otherwise they charge you $35 PER GUEST!Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator up to second floor and accessible bathrooms.

Just loved Ci Siamo. Excellent food and service. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable in the dishes and how they were prepared. Where modt waiters would recommend the most expensive items, he took the time to learn what we desired and suggested stracci and branzino. He also paired them with excellent wine. Both dishes were cooked to perfection.

The meal we shared here was exquisite! Highly recommend exploring their menu and trying anything that pulls you- you really can’t go wrong. The interior of the restaurant is beautifully constructed, you can tell they put forth a massive amount of attention to the design of the space. Really friendly (and funny) waitstaff which added to the whole experience- can’t wait to return soon!

Ci Siamo - We’ve finally arrived!! The real and classy Italian restaurant in NYC you could ever ask for. I was celebrating my birthday here with my beloved friends and I’m glad my friends recommended the restaurant for me. The foods were delicious and high quality, the drinks were surprisingly tasty and the service was over the top! This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in NYC, hands down!

Can a great overall experience still be mildly disappointing? The food we ate at Ci Siamo was very good. Some nice modern takes on a few of classics mixed in with an attempt to deliver elevated traditional italian comfort. On the whole we all agreed that most dishes were slightly heavy on salt. For context, we eat a lot of Korean food, which can tend on the salty side, so we are not "salt sensitive" eaters.Onion Torta: A beautiful dish that would have been perfection if not for being too salty... for our taste, the salt level was high enough to be noted by everyone but not high enough to completely ruin the dish. Still very good, but could have been excellent.Insalata Verde: Delicious and one of our favorite dishes. Just slightly oversalted...Rigatoni ala Gricia: Creamy with super crispy guanciale. But, again, salty. ( this maybe gets a pass since the majority of the saltiness was most likely from a very aged parmesan cheese)Spagetti ala Vongole: very good, but over salted...Tagliatelle: Best thing we ate. Simple and deliciousBistecca ala Fiorentina: beautiful cut of beef, but def over seasoned, with, you guessed it, salt.Wood fired whole Trout: beautifully prepared and loved the stuffing. Tad bit too saltyVermouth gelato was amazing, as was the lemon torta...Service was excellent, venue was classy, fully occupied, and generally buzzing. Conclusion: We enjoyed ourselves, but would not go back again for a group meal.I could see myself returning for a lunch at the bar and ordering the green salad and tagliatelle....
