I call ahead and order my “asopao de gandules” every time I want to feel like I’m back at my abuela’s kitchen. This place is legit! Try the avena (oatmeal) if you’re there for breakfast <3
Love this place. Authentic Latin food! Great prices. So good! Highly recommend!!!
Bad food
What incredible food is was delicious fresh food and the lady that cook was very nice i was visiting the area from out state i will return next time and in new york
I don’t know where the owners are but I recently ordered their Cuban sandwich and the lady at the counter did a very sloppy job. I’m not going there again.

Not worth the price. 20 dollars for mangu with an orange juice. I wouldn’t mind the price if the portion was decent, but it wasn’t even that.

The rices and granules were tasteless and mushy. The service was slower than to be expected the fried pork chop was tasteless!!!! And not to mention wayyyyyyyyy overpriced. I am disappointed because their food used to be very good! I will not be back !!!!

Better off going to the Bronx or Washington heights. This is dry unseasoned food made with no love. No natural juices , attitude when ordering food and overpriced. Won’t be back

This is a favorite of mine. Over 30 years in this spot. Anything not on the menu can be made and served. Jukebox, ATM available pay with cash or cards.
It’s an old school mom and pop restaurant. Food is consistently good. It’s simple no frills Puertorican style food. I like my food picante so I have to add a lil something something. Overall good food and when I’m around and there’s parking I’m stopping.
