I don't like leaving such a poor review but after the last experience + other poor ones, I cant ignore it.I don't dine in, but I often spend a LOT of money ordering in.The delivery is such a joke. First, I speak a bit of Spanish and I have zero issues with people not speaking English well. I do have an issue with my recent situation -person calling my cell 6TIMES, he couldn't understand anything said nor could I him. Honest, I've ordered so hundreds of times and nobody has EVER had trouble finding my apt as it's super obvious. The delivery person kept calling me screaming, I could see he wasn't in front of my building. I tried calling the restaurant but they just not my prob and hung up on me.DO NOT EXPECT YOUR CUSTOMERS TO BE HAPPY WHEN THEY ORDER $30 LUNCH enchaladas, but they can't be delivered bc 1- delivery person bad 2- your own staff are awful.I believe this place will be gone soon sadly. Don't want to close?Hire someone that can manage. English and Spanish- or whatever it takes asBasic COMMUNICATION should be allowed and expected. last person I spoke with but had no info or help, took 6 calls for someone to pickup the phone (hello? Customer service?) but why bother answering the phone? BC the person couldn't help and then told me he was too new and then hung up on me.It's too bad. Really assomeone who has lived in socal and Mexico, this is a funeral post. Bie

So sad to put a low review here. I don't eat in but I've ordered lunch delivery for years. Sadly, the options to get food delivered are slim. (seemless/grubhub) to which I've now canceled bc these companies are terrible to their workers ND charge OUTRAGEOUS delivery prices. NOT worth the terrible service. I placed an order today- super simple- enchaladas that's it! NO modifications. Did they ever arrive? NO! My delivery person called me 6 times, zero English what so ever. That's perfectly cool with me. I speak a little Spanish. But was I suprised and super annoyed that they couldn't do the job. The driver called me 6 times. neither of us understood each other. Told him my address 6 times...Did I mention I order All the time? Legit homey didn't understand ANYTHING I was saying and it never arrived. I was annoyed especially bc what on earth did the delivery person think? Did he think ALL OF A SUDDEN understand the same conversation we had 6 times? The apt is Easy to find. Not to mention when I called the restaurant trying to help, nobody answered. And I called more than 6times. I tried calling the restaurant to see if they could help. The person who answered said "he's new, not his problem, would try to fix it but then hung up on me. I canceled my delivery month expenses from seemless/grubhub and I will never order here again. Wake up! If you want people to eat your food, don't make it impossible to order and annoying to try to deliver on basic instructions.

Good food, churros are the bomb, lighting is amazing and the overall focused style of this restaurant is amazing. Excellent.

We went to Cilantro on a whim, and all of us left extremely pleased with our experience. The hostess was very kind and accommodating (an additional friend was able to join at the last minute, and she was able to fit him in no problem). The waitress was kind, attentive, and professional, and even re-read our order aloud for us to make sure she got everything right. The food was unbelievably delicious and appropriately priced, too. I ordered a blackened chicken burrito and it was so so good. The portion was on the bigger side, so I was able to take it home and eat it for lunch the next day (and it tasted delicious then, too!). I also really recommend the guacamole and the queso served in a cast iron skillet. We were a bit rowdy as we were celebrating some birthdays, but the wait staff was so kind and attentive with us (we never even had to ask for chip refills, because they were constantly provided for us!) and made sure we had such a fun experience. The tres leches birthday cake was perfectly made as well. This is a truly great restaurant and I can't speak enough about how amazing the service was and how delicious the food was. Definitely recommend!!!

Very unhappy with Cilantro after today's brunch. While I have had dinner and drinks here before and everything was fine, today was, honestly horrible. First off, the waitress had A LOT of trouble taking our order. She was not listening at all. When the order came, things that we specified during the order taking were incorrect. Mainly that I requested a burger, Medium well. When I received it, it was literally RAW!! Seriously? I also ordered a side salad but got fries. I spoke to the manager who really didn't care about my concerns at all and said they would always support their staff. Most places will offer a free drink or dessert to compensate for poor service. Nope. Not here. Not going to eat there again. You shouldn't either.

Unfortunately we were not able to eat at this restaurant as they did not honor the reservation. The hostess seemed surprised we had a reservation but acknowledged the fact when she checked her screen. With a shrug and barely an apology she said they could not seat us. The manager was unwilling to come talk to us so we left. Do not rely on Open Table to reserve at this restaurant.

Decided to update our review after a management change. Portion sizes are smaller. And a staff member told us that they won’t bring you your side of beans and rice which is on the menu — to save money. They hope customers won’t ask for it. Seriously appalling.

Manager harassed a public citizen for videotaping the area and made attempts to manhandle the situation because she was entitled, she thought by being the innocent female in the situation she was in her rights to grab and physically hold the person, she then call the authorities to side with her plead of being the victim. Police didn’t side with her and the situation was aggressive and the lies she told was too much to bear. Just because it’s Columbus Avenue, her entitlement says her was due to being a female and her statement was wrong and one sided misinformation. Cilantro is hiring poorly trained people to represent the restaurant. NYC is diversity in a nutshell, entitled women make it their agenda to play false victims and get out of issues they envision as a truth. Let’s review the video encounter that occurred and witness the real cilantro backlash from her device.

Recently refurbished, this restaurant offers good Mexican food at reasonable prices in a really nice setting, particularly for the Upper West Side. Very sweet and attentive service, and good margaritas.

Cilantro has been one of go tos forever. Not sure anymore. Today they were understaffed and took a long time to get service. One of the employees shared with us a dirty little secret that they don't bring you the side of rice and beans to save money. It's on the menu. They just hope you don't ask. Plus they are still charging 3 percent credit card processing fees. A violation of state law. This is how you lose my business.

40 minute to get any food. Got yelled at when we asked politely for the food. Food was burned and not tasty. Will not eat hear here again and will tell others not to come!
