Decided to try this restaurant in the Chelsea location on New Years Day for a few quick brunch with my friend. Portion size was small but fitting for the price. The food was high quality and fresh. Good mix of options for all diets and allergies. No wait for the food and friendly waiting staff. The space is a little small especially in the winter where you cannot use the outside space, but was still able to fit my travel bag next to me. The space was very.

Great atmosphere! Came 30 mins after they were open and we were served our full breakfast about 20 minutes later. Food was phenomenal. Would come again!

This place is such a cute little breakfast spot with great coffee. Theres a really nice relaxed vibe here, which is what you want for a casual breakfastvor brunch. I had the avocado benny! The cheese biscuit that they serve it on was so delicious and the food was so well presented. My colleague had the big brekkie which also looked great and was apparently tasty. They have seating nothing indoor and outdoor. We chose to sit outside as it was a lovely day but if it had been a little chilly they do have patio heaters. The servers were lovely and we had flawless service from a lovely Jamaican gentleman. With Brekafast and 2 coffees with tax and tip it was around $35-$40 per person. I look forward to returning in the near future.

We came here as had walked past in the weekend and it was humming with local popularity. I had the coconut and blueberry bircher and it was beautiful, recommend you stop by and try. Our Australian waitress was happy helpful and added to the meal

We ordered the pulled pork Benny and avocado toast. Both were extremely good, eggs were cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and the vibe was great

While online surfing on the several places to have a good Brunch in New York, I chose this well reviewed place. Very good and healthy food. Very kind people. Fast serving of the food. Very nice atmosphere.

Me and my boyfriend visited a monday aftertoon. We were pleased with the atmosphere and the location! Nonetheless the coffee machine was broken. The people working there was friendly and effective. Would recommend for a lunch visit.

Super cute cafe/brunch place! I love the velvet latte in particular - a refreshing change from the usual items you can get at other coffee shops. The golden latte is also really good. I thought the matcha latte was a bit too bitter/strong for me personally and had a slightly powdery mouthfeel. I also got the salmon and eggs here for brunch before and thought the portion was ideal. The bread seemed fresh and the poached eggs went great with it. The ambiance is great for a classic American brunch - it's fairly lively on weekends but not too packed and it is realistic to get a table without making a reservation, which is a rarity. The servers were friendly and let us take our time eating. Would highly recommend!

Amazing breakfast. Super tasty BBQ with potatoes and poached eggs and a belgian waffle with berries ❤️❤️❤️ Recommend this place. You have to wait in a line to be seated though.

Living in the south, we love our beans! I got the bean breakfast on toast with chorizo. I could barely finish half because the portion was so large! It was one of my favorite breakfast meals I've had.Walking so much in New York it's hard to find a place that gives large portions like this so it was a huge plus! I also saw on their menu they have bottomless drink options which is great! Overall we enjoyed eating here and walking to shop, everything was very close by.

Best brunch in NYC! Before getting in, we saw there was a looong line outside the restaurant, and we concluded that was a good sign. Definately worth it! Gluten free options were very tasty and everything was so freshly and perfectly made. The place was very cozy and welcoming. 10/10! :)

So so good! Citizens never disappoints. This was my first time at this location, but I've been the Chelsea one a couple times and am always in love with their food. I tried to Miso Chicken Bowl this time and absolutely loved the flavors of the dressing. Strong miso flavor and it was really unique for a salad. The salad has some grains (rice) so it's a nice meal that isn't too heavy. Friends and I came for bottomless on a Sunday and we got rounds and rounds of the iced tea. We all loved that it wasn't too sweet and it made for a perf bottomless experience.

Typical lovely outdoor canopiedGreenwich Village restaurant. I can only speak to the breakfast. We both had the avocado toast and it was fine and tasty. But for the price, oh boy I'd really rethink that. Yikes. The servers, by the way, spot on and perfectcoffee that day? skip it. brown and muddy.

Citizens is an Australian cafe that serves breakfast all-day, with lunch options as well. All of their menu items are extremely fresh, and some healthy: you can get bowls, salads, but also burgers. This is a great spot to enjoy a delicious brunch with friends. I tried a couple of dishes here, and was very happy with my choice. The Cheddar Biscuit Brekkie sandwich is one of my favorite brunch items I have had. The Cheddar Biscuit was to die for - soft and doughy, with a crispy crust. The gruyere slice perfectly completed the cheddar-ness of the biscuit. The ~thick-cut bacon~ and tomato sauce really topped it all. This is a must if you go to Citizens.Of course... Every time I see an Avocado Smash on the menu, I have to try it. Citizens put an interesting twist on it. The avocado was mix with lime and cilantro, which was pretty good. What really brought this dish together was the beetroot hummus and the pickled onions ~yes, beetroot hummus with an avocado toast~. ~Disclaimer~ This did not make my top list of avocado toasts in the city, but it was good to try once as it had a mix of unexpected flavors. The fried chicken burger: The chicken is fried to perfection, and the yuzu aioli sauce is just... on point. Not my favorite though, but still great.

This place is just off the beaten track and feels like the place the locals go to. Great atmosphere, great service and really great food. Faultless
