Food is good but they don't know how to price their own food. Just paid the same for a roll as I do for a hero because the people behind the register don't know how to ring up their food. I would have gotten a hero but they run out of bread twice a month and dont restock for a day or two. You may get the same dish every day for a week and end up paying 5 different prices. And any mention of it and they just act dumber than you can already tell they are. It's sad cause the food is decent and staff is nice.

Nice little bodega style cafe/deli spot just a few blocks from Times Square. Came in for a quick breakfast. You can tell this place is frequented by local workers as the staff behind the counters knew customers coming in. It gave a nice friendly atmosphere. At least when I came in, although a visitor to NYC myself, the store was not filled with tourists. Great price as a breakfast sandwich and coffee was under $10.

Great place. You’re greeted with a smile and a good morning from the walkin. Food is made perfectly and in timely fashion. I recommend this place!
Done with this place. The Latin lady at the register tried charging me $27 for an egg sandwich and a cookie. I pointed it out to her and she quickly responded, oh my mistake. I went to the office across the street and told 6 coworkers who said that happened to each of them multiple times. "My mistake" is sounding more like, "Let me charge what I feel like it and see if I get caught". No more City Cafe for me! The Asian lady never did that! She's a sweetheart!
