Nicole was a fun and attentive server. She has a very tasty vodka drink “Sour Nicky”! Music was 10/10

Recommended dishes: Breakfast Burrito
I'm genuinely perplexed as to why City Coffee & Bar doesn't put its culinary offerings front and center. While their coffee and drinks are, of course, excellent, the food experience here is truly exceptional. Having worked in Lower Manhattan for over a decade and explored countless Midtown eateries, I can confidently say this is the pinnacle of Modern American Dining.
The dishes are incredibly delicate, refined, and, most importantly, exquisitely delicious. From their fantastic hamburger, where the bun and patty achieve a perfect harmony, to the diverse flavors of their Burrito, Shakshuka, and House Granola, every item is top-notch. Their Omelets, Pancakes, Lemon Chicken Paillard, and various sandwiches also consistently impress.
Even seemingly simple sides like their French fries and sweet potato fries are outstanding. Their French fries, in particular, surpass even those from establishments renowned for their fries, like Five Guys. City Coffee & Bar stands out not just as a superb cafe or bar, but as one of New York's finest casual dining destinations. It's truly a must-visit.

Good Food, Poor Service Experience
While the food itself was quite good, the service left a lot to be desired. Upon arriving, no one greeted or acknowledged us so finally had to ask if we could sit anywhere and was told yes — yet I noticed other patrons who arrived after us were greeted promptly and treated much more politely.
To make matters worse, we were informed that several menu items were “sold out,” despite it being only 3 p.m. Happy hour begins at 4pm so I was rather confused by this as quite a few of the “sold out” items are available during happy hour. The lack of attentiveness and professionalism was disappointing, especially given the quality of the food. Unfortunately, the service overshadowed what could have been a very pleasant dining experience. This was my third time visiting and out of the visits each time had some sort of service issue.

This place is awesome. As a new transplant to NYC. This is the kind of place you wish existed everywhere. I often post up with my dog and laptop to work. The staff is always friendly. Coffee is great. Get a cortado !! Food is delicious. And more than once I switched gears after a few hours of work and starting having beers. Free WiFi and dog friendly. I will be back multiple time.

I came here to grab a late lunch and get some work done after an appointment on the west side.
I grabbed a seat by the entrance to get some air since it was nice out and ordered a cesar with steak and a cold brew.
The food was great (steak was perfectly cooked) and my server, a young Peruvian guy, was super kind, professional, and attentive.
10/10 will be back (maybe for happy hour, which started as I was leaving).
Had a birthday party for my wife there she loved it and I definitely had a blast good vibes definitely recommend to go there and the prices are for food and drinks are good

This was a random spot that I thought was just a coffee shop turned out to be also a Bar scene, very creative, the staff is absolutely amazing and the drinks are Well made I loved every single one I had. My server was Diane , absolutely Fantastic, She was super friendly and humble and made sure I was ok. Handling multiple customers all by herself I almost thought she forgot about me but boom she hits me with my next drink I requested. This is a very nice chill spot. I'm here doing happy hour and the VIBE is amazing. Definitely coming back and might make this my new go to spot after work.
