We loved the performers we saw at City Winery, and the sound system was excellent. The food and drinks were very good, and the wait staff did a nice job of taking orders, getting drinks and food out on time, and getting bills paid so we could leave right. when the show ended. We will definitely return.

Feedback on Recent City Winery Experience – Eddie Levert Show, June 15, 2025
I’ve always enjoyed attending events at City Winery, and as a Vinofile Member, I truly value the experience. However, my most recent visit to see Eddie Levert on June 15, 2025, was disappointing and I wanted to share my feedback.
I had a ticket for Stage Premier Table 4, Seat B. I arrived about 15 minutes after the show had started and found that someone was already sitting in my assigned seat. The man in my seat was with a woman seated in front of him. When the usher asked to see their tickets, the woman ignored her completely.
Initially, I was placed in a temporary seat while the usher investigated. When she returned, she told me the ticket had been double-sold. I disagreed, as the couple was never able to produce any tickets. Regardless, I was told I would be “upgraded,” but was then seated in the back, on the left side of the room—clearly not an upgrade from a Stage Premier table.
I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked to speak with a manager. Unfortunately, even after involving two managers and two ushers, the couple was not removed from my seat. Although the staff offered to comp my drinks and dinner, I had already eaten and had drinks with friends before the show.
While this experience was frustrating, I want to highlight the exceptional customer service provided by Ashley Catane (I hope I’ve spelled her name correctly). She went out of her way to ensure I left City Winery as a satisfied customer, and I greatly appreciate her efforts.
Unfortunately, I did miss a significant portion of the show. As a helpful suggestion, it might be beneficial for City Winery to consider having security personnel available to assist staff in handling similar situations more effectively in the future.

Experienced an amazing time at this venue the staff was amazing. I had an amazing chicken caesar salad that tasted authentic from Tijuana Mexico. It was so damn good.

Unfortunately, my second visit to City Winery was deeply disappointing. I brought four friends along, expecting another great experience, but the service fell far short of expectations.
We had to repeatedly ask for basic items like water, plates, and drinks, many of which never arrived. Our table was wobbly, and we ended up having to fix it ourselves. At one point, a candle fell off the table, creating a potential hazard. We cleaned it up ourselves to avoid any accidents, but even after requesting someone to sweep the area for safety, the staff ignored our request.
To make matters worse, we were charged for drinks and food that never arrived. When we tried to address our concerns, the manager was dismissive and never returned to follow up on our complaints.
This level of service was unacceptable and not what I’ve come to expect from City Winery. Unfortunately, this experience has left me hesitant to return or recommend the venue in the future.

The performances are great! The premier seating has you packed to 4 ppl at a table with 4 more strangers right next to you..almost on top of you. If you order food you will elbow someone in the face trying to cut your meat! You can put your appetizers on the stage if you need more space on your 1/4 of the table 🙄
Overpriced. Mediocre wines and food that are overpriced, poor service. Only go here if someone your really cannot miss is performing there. Eat and drink before you go to save money and have a better service experience.

We had lunch here today. The food was OK, but the menu was weird – we struggled to find things to order.
The most problematic part of the experience with the vibe. Smelly, weird, slow service, it just felt rundown or poorly managed overall.
Not a bad experience, but probably won’t come back.

shared a bottle of wine w friends on a late night. very nice vibes. literally passed out momentarily because i was so sleepy. i love my friends. i love wine. nice warm and comforting atmosphere inside

Food taste was alright. Portion was small. Price was a bit high. Service was friendly and fast. Atmosphere was nice since we sat outside and it was a nice day. The boardwalk is wide so you don’t have the smell the sweaty joggers. You can see the Little Islands too. You could go up and have a nice view of the surrounding. Overall pretty solid, just wish the food was better.
