A lot of the people who go to Clandestino are kind of awful, but the very tall and handsome tattooed bartender makes the best dirty vodka martini I’ve ever had. I’ve been going there for that and for that I will continue to return.

It’s crazy coming here knowing these bartenders make some of the most money in Manhattan but none of them can make a proper cocktail. All that to say the vibes here are good. Just stick to canned/bottled beers.

if i could give this bar zero stars i would. in hindsight, we should’ve looked at the reviews before coming to see all the 1 star reviews this place has.the bar is extremely busy with two bartenders (not the issue) & my friend ordered drinks for us with one of the bartenders. when we finally got a seat at the bar (almost 20 minutes later) we didn’t know if our drinks were made so my friend asked the other bartender to make us drinks. first bartender (weirdo with a beanie) comes with our drinks and my friend tells him to cancel the other ones we just ordered… maybe that was a mistake because the way this beanie weirdo started berating my friend for “wasting alcohol” and talked down on her like she was a child was unprofessional and rude. when it came to pay OBVIOULSY we weren’t leaving a tip, the bartender came back after awhile and was complaining about not leaving a tip… he literally started arguing with us at the bar until my friend had to say “i’m done with this conversation”. anyways we were trying to finish our drinks and enjoy our company together and the SAME BARTENDER just takes our unfinished drinks off the bar and says, “no”. he gives us a refund and tells us to leave… what’s type of backwards service is this.if you want to enjoy drinks by man babies and certified mansplainers who are on a constant power trip, this is the place for you!

The drinks were okay, but the server on Thursday named Chris (long hair with a mustache) has the worst attitude and ruins the environment. He drinks with customers he likes and ignores the rest. Very negative and wanted us out the entire time. We were saying hello to a group of friends, and he ran up yelling at us whining we weren’t “following the rules and being very rude” even though they were just saying hello to friends.

This is a convenient place to have a couple of late afternoon drinks. After 7 pm On a weekend, it starts to get a little noisy so it's hard to have a conversation. But overall it's a nice place.
If you want piss poor service with whiny and entitled waiters this is the place for you. The server Chris seemed like they were high on ketamine or maybe the requirements to be hired is to just be slow. Regardless this was the WORST experience I’ve ever had. He completely deterred me from ever coming back or supporting this place whatsoever.

I've been coming here for a few months now and normally have a great time, there normally is a wait for drinks and as someone who's worked in service I understand it can be hard to get to everyone. Sat down outside and 20 minutes had gone by, the waiter seemed to only be talking to / serving his friends. Went inside to order a drink and was told it's table service and the server snapped at me with a "i'll get to you when I get to you", meanwhile there was no one sitting at the inside bar and I was immediately very off-put. He comes up to us around 5 to 10 minutes later, we end up ordering two rounds of drinks and had to somewhat hunt him down for the second round and already we could tell he was not a fan of us because I had gone inside to try to grab a drink. They had asked us to put a card on file, fine but annoying as there were just 3 of us and we wanted to pay separately. We get the check and pay with the card on file, my friend pulls up his venmo as we're trying to figure out how much we owe each other. The waiter comes back less than two minutes later (the fastest service of the night) and asks us to leave since people were waiting. I could understand if this was 10 minutes after the bill came but we all we're still trying to figure out the bill / venmo situation for our end. We get up and leave and are just very offput by the entire situation. I could understand if we were too drunken, rude or obnoxious but it was a very calm after work grab drinks in the area and we were treated very poorly. I'm not one to leave reviews but this left me pretty disappointed as I do enjoy this bar.
