Way overpriced for what you get food-wise. Sure it's a buffet and there's a range but each item be it scrambled eggs or chia pudding or donuts or charcuterie. The wings are fine. The lobster mac and cheese is solid and was my favorite. Cocktails are an additional $26 on top of $115 tab per person for the buffet itself. You're paying for the fancy plates and ambiance, not a superior quality to the food.
Unbelievable breakfast. I never leave reviews. This place deserves everyone's reviews.
Amazing service and breakfast but you (or a corporate card) pay for it. It's impeccable service and food. I wish I could've worked my way through the menu. I chose the Avocado Toast with poached eggs. I wish ordered the cornflake-crusted brioche French toast but then I would've been napping under my desk all day. Their green juice was fresh and energizing. Our waiter was beyond professional and polite. Expertly attentive.
Absolutely phenomenal breakfast! The portions are huge so well worth the money and most i’d say can be shared between 2 people, visited during Christmas & from the decor to service everything was 11/10!! Amazing place as a first breakfast on our trip in NYC & cute bday surprise as well!🎀🎉
I went to visit a friend staying at PENINSULA HOTEL who had also stayed at THE PENINSULA IN HONG KONG. They were very disappointed and when it comes to the palatial service you received at other Peninsulas… this is not in the running. Think HOLIDAY INN. BUT let’s focus on brunch. First let me say if you are a senior or disabled or had a few drinks-THE RESTROOM IS NOT ON THAT FLOOR. I REPEAT THE RESTROOMS ARE NOT ON THAT FLOOR. Plus the carpeted steps are a little hard to master. Food: oh well, so so food at a hotel- you can skip it. We were told everyone loves the Korean chicken. Nope! NYET. No. Go to BONCHON IF you want to find the real crispiness of Korean chicken and a true bbq taste. The burger is ok. They did serve a very good latte at the end. I asked for it extra hot and it was perfect since you know lattes can come out lukewarm if the milk isn’t at the right temperature. Would I go back no, no. Would my friends pick another hotel- yes. By the way they had fresh greens in vases spewing with Nandina which was a nice touch but the berries were not plentiful.
Something of color was needed to give it some pizzazz. I LOVE THE PENINSULA IN HONG KONG AND LONDON.
Although they only serve breakfast and lunch, I believe this is a must-visit spot when in New York. A restaurant inside a five-star hotel that has hosted presidents—just imagine the luxurious experience! The menu is relatively simple, but you can tell they carefully select only the finest ingredients. The maple syrup on my French toast came from a highly reputable source, known for its exceptional quality. If you’re looking for a fantastic brunch experience in New York, this is definitely the place to go.
Great place for breakfast or dinner
Great for business or friends. Excellent service. Great location.
Great service, the food was delicious, and the Peninsula winter salad was so fresh. A huge thank you to Armele and Caesar who were such great and kind servers, as well as the rest of the staff.
4 stars because it is not going to change your life… But it is a great little bar with wonderful cocktails and fantastic service. located just upstairs to the left as you enter the peninsula hotel - worth a stop if you need a break while enjoying fifth Avenue. (the free miniature desserts were a charming and delightful surprise)💕

Update 2024: the drinks and service are still good, prices are steep as expected. A good thing that there is always a place by some chance for an after work drink with a colleague. Three alcohol-free cocktails available.
2021: I am a big fan of Peninsula hotel and I often come to their rooftop and to Clement for drinks. The service is ways top notch, the ambiance is understated and luxurious. But $13 for a takeout coffee (Americano) - seriously?
We enjoyed some of the clement bar classics: shrimp shumai, Korean fried chicken, short rib bao, angus beef sliders, and New England lobster roll.
The highlights were the shrimp shumai and lobster roll. Their fries are also fantastic.
But more than anything, the service. Jimmy was amazing and really elevated the entire experience.
An Unforgettable Brunch Experience at The Peninsula NYC
My experience at the Peninsula NYC was nothing short of extraordinary. Even a month after dining there, I find myself continuously reminiscing about the remarkable brunch I enjoyed. Allow me to share the highlights of this unparalleled culinary experience.
The Korean Fried Chicken was a delightful symphony of umami flavors, leaving a lasting impression on my palate. The Tuna Tataki was an exquisite dish—light, refreshing, and evocative of a perfect summer day.
However, the pièce de résistance was undoubtedly the pastry selection. The croissant transported me to Paris with its perfect execution. The exterior was wonderfully crunchy, each layer was impeccably flaky, and the interior was soft and warm. It was truly a masterpiece. Chef Richard's Mandarin Petits Fours were equally impressive. The dessert, crafted to resemble an orange on the outside with a delicate cake hidden inside, was a revelation. It masterfully balanced flavors of sweet, sour, bitter, and umami, showcasing the chef's artistry and precision.
Another highlight was the raspberry chocolate with pop rocks, which added an element of fun to the meal. The delightful flavor, combined with the nostalgic sensation of the pop rocks, brought back fond childhood memories.
The service at the Peninsula NYC was impeccable, further enhancing the dining experience. Every staff member demonstrated a high level of professionalism and attentiveness, making us feel truly valued.
In conclusion, our brunch at the Peninsula NYC was an extraordinary experience that I highly recommend. It is a must-visit destination in New York City. My heartfelt thanks to Chef Richard and his exceptional team for an unforgettable meal. We look forward to returning many times in the future.
The rooftop was closed for the private event, so we got here. It was ok, but the cocktails were extremely strong.
Also - loved the snacks!
