Avoid at all cost. Hotel has now been turned into a migrant shelter, which is fine, good for them, but the experience of getting there—we waited over 25 mins for the elevator and then was packed with like 20 other people (none who was going to the terrace). Went there and rooftop was extremely deteriorated so we decided to leave. Took the stairs just to be told by security on the second floor we had to wait once again for the elevator. It’s literally a shelter throughout all floors and not a pleasant atmosphere—sad, rather.

We should have turned back as soon as we stepped foot in the hotel. On the 17th floor, there was the rooftop which did not look like the pictures AT ALL. A VERY disappointing terrace. To finish this terrible experience the waiter gave himself a tip and when we asked him about it he first said it was tax and then repeating that tipping is mandatory. We knew it wasn’t and asked him to take it off as we didn’t want to tip but he continued to fight us telling us it was obligatory. We’ve been in New York for a week and know the difference between tax and tip, and we’ve always been asked how much we want to tip or if we want too. We ended up paying. Please avoid this place at all cost ! Especially if you’re a tourist as the accent may make them think that you’re stupid !

If you're looking for THE NYC rooftop with no view, with more than mediocre drinks at an exorbitant price, music so loud that it's hard to hear and heaters that burn your head, you've come to the right place.They will add the tips to you in the amount of THEIR choice.We were alone in this place despite the magnificent weather, we should have suspected something...Just one word: run away!

First of all one has to serve himself, the guy NEVER comes to the tables, like, at all, then he got my order wrong, also (and even worse) I didn't realize the bar included tips by default so I asked to fix but they refused, and said that the service fee was kept by the OWNER and that they didn't get any of that so tipping them double was expected.

I absolutely love this F-ing place, Came here with family and friend, spur of the moment type of deal. Food was good, drinks where strong and well balanced, the bartender was sweet, wholehearted and friendly. We had 6 people we all enjoyed the outside seating and the view was amazing we planned to stay for an hour or so and next thing we knew it was 4 hours later. 10/10

The elevator does take a while and the hotel has become a migrant hotel, but the rooftop bar is very nice and such a vibe. It was a cool night and it was comfortable to be outside. We did have to order at the bar and take it to our table, but it was not crowded at all so it wasn’t a big deal! The bartenders were attentive!Since people are swayed by the hotel with a bunch of kids and families, this rooftop is a great spot to catch up with friends and not be super crowded

Stay as far as humanly possible away from this place. Cannot stress this enough!! When you walk through the lobby area you will immediately see that you need to get the hell out of there. We made the mistake thinking we would still go up (to the 17th floor) to hopefully find some hidden gem. Which it was NOT!! We popped our heads in there, turned immediately around and made as fast a getaway as as we possibly could. The lift takes forever, and it stinks! When the lift stops on just about every floor there is filth everywhere with screaming children. This surely has to be a place to house immigrants because I cannot see anyone willingly or paying to stay there. What a disappointment.
