Its a nice cozy place but definitely more americanized not for authentic Mexican food. They are ridiculously OVERPRICED, im talking about 2 small sized jalapeños stuffed with tuna for 22ish dollars. Wouldn't go again but at least we tryed it but dont recommend it.

The food here is absolutely incredible! We ordered a few dishes that were all delicious but my favorite was the grilled cheese. Can't wait to come back and try everything else!

I could not love this place more. We came for breakfast and ordered everything on the menu. The pineapple espress-o and the cacao flower drink were amazing. The pork sandwich was a must order. Everything was so good we came back 7 hours later to eat everything on the menu for dinner. The bone marrow and duck confit mole tacos were delicious as was the cauliflower romanesco and the zucchini fritters. Plus the owners are the nicest folks. You definitely feel like they welcomed you into their home.

Arrived right after they had been flat sat at 6 pm. They were extremely kind and helpful.
The food was amazing.
The jalapenos. The mole. Unreal.
Birra bone marrow holy 🐮

This little Mexican restaurant is as tiny as it gets—no traditional kitchen, just a counter where you can see everything being made right in front of you. It’s a unique setup that gives the place an intimate and casual vibe.
I tried their masa pancake, and it was the highlight - soft, fluffy, and absolutely delightful. On the other hand, the tortilla con hueva didn’t quite hit the mark for me, as it was rather tasteless and lacked seasoning.
What stood out the most, though, was the staff. They were friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. While the food had its ups and downs, the warm hospitality definitely left a good impression.

Yum! Cozy, beautiful, scrumptious food, a delight! Already dreaming about what I’d like to order next time :)
Wow, what a find! A small, intimate, very causal space with incredible food and amazing service. We had a late breakfast and the masa pancake was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten ( and I live with a food writer ). Looking forward to going back for dinner!

Very small but nice Mexican restaurant in Hamilton Heights. The atmosphere is very pleasant and warm. The menu is not very large, but absolutely sufficient. The food tastes great and so does the Mexican beer. The employees are all very friendly and accommodating.
Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes are offered.

Cocina Consuelo is outstanding in every way. Went for lunch today with my husband. We shared three dishes - the masa pancake which was so unique and had such a great texture, the picadito with their incrediblly delicious housemade chorizo, and the tortilla con huevo with a phenomenal salsa roja that might have been my favorite. The place is so cute and cozy and has a beautiful friendly neighborhood vibe. The owners are wonderful welcoming hosts. An absolute gem. I cannot wait to go back and try their dinner menu soon.

Went for brunch and was frustrated by the staff seating my friend and I at a four seat table to share with other patrons instead of an empty two person table (where they placed a party of three surprisingly). I can understand wanting to maximize profit but it sucks that it comes at the expense of customer’s comfort. Besides that, the food was great, the masa pancake was a highlight.

It was a surprise to find this little restaurant in Harlem. There were no tables, and we took the last two seats at the bar. While we waited, I surprisingly felt at home. The aroma of the food, the care with which Karina prepared each of the dishes, and the kindness and joy they served us. By the time our table was ready, we didn't want to take it anymore; we ate much more than we planned to order because we didn't want to miss out on their delicious food.
Vegetarian options: Guacamole, romanesco coliflor, papas, mushrooms risotto, tortitas de Calabaza, colcanap tres leches.
Dietary restrictions: I have dietary restrictions, and I was surprised to see that everything from the exquisite tortillas to the delicious tres leches dessert was prepared right there, gluten-free and preservative-free. I hope to return soon.
