Peaceful authentic setting, perfect for one or two people who just want to enjoy culture and the taste of roots, simple authentic, Puerto rican , Dominican food and can make a perfect sandwich Cubano with some good cafe .
This is a Dominican diner. Imagine an old time diner with 2 Hispanic aunties (tias) serving. They make a really good breakfast. Longganisa and chorizo (latin sausages) are a must. They have warming trays with plantain bananas mashed like potatoes, boiled cassava and onions. They also have chicken chicharon and breaded fried steak (think chicken fried steak) at lunch and dinner. I will come back to do that. Yes there's loud music and modest Spanish will make ordering a lot...
The darn music is so loud in this restaurant that you can't even eat-in in peace or even order food over the phone for delivery!! I swear, I thoughtI was calling a night club in Washington Heights!???They claim that they can't hear my voice while I'm ordering food because "my cellphone is messed up." ??? GTFOHI couldn't stop laughing!!!But on a good note, their food is delicious, though!
