Love love this location! The food is always amazing and will go back just to eat that. Drinks are great as well but service is a bit slow/they need to hire more bartenders!

After the compulsory ID check with the doorman we snagged the last two seats at the bar. The place was humming with energy. It was a Friday night & all the patrons were gearing up for the weekend. The decibel level is fairly high. The DJ was actually spinning some of our favourite tunes.
We ordered a couple beers & surveyed the menu. We selected the shrimp po boy (very tasty), fish tacos (nicely spiced) & the wedge salad (maybe a touch over dressed with blue cheese dressing). Heck it was Friday night: we enjoyed our fairly basic selections.
The bartenders took good care of us. Always making sure we had enough beverages, replenishing napkins (it was a messy meal) & refilling our water.
If you find yourself in the East Village craving some tiki inspired drinks & simple cooking this place will satisfy.

Brought my friend to check out this place last night. It was so humid last night and it felt good to get in the ac. We both ordered a cocktail and food. She got the wedge salad and I got the mild chicken sandwich. Her salad came out a few minutes before my sandwich. The food was great as expected, but for some reason with 1/4 of my sandwich left while I was mid conversation a bartender took my plate. I said nothing, but I was disappointed. Then shortly after I asked for a glass of water (my friend and I hadn’t had any or been asked if we wanted any) and I was told by the same person to get it myself and there is a water stand at the other side of the bar. FYI there were two bartenders and about 8 people in the bar. One of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. Turns out my card was also charged twice so I guess I’ll have to speak with them today. Hard pass.

This came across my social media feed and since it's in our neighborhood, we decided to give it a try. From the outside, you can't really tell anything about the place. However, when you get inside it is a charming nautical theme. We were greeted by Simone, a lovely woman tending the bar. She explained that we can sit anywhere we like and we order at the bar. For cocktails, I had the Commodore and my boyfriend had a Guinness. Drinks were perfect. I had the brisket sandwich and my boyfriend had the fried chicken platter. They were hearty portions and absolutely delicious! We went kind of early and as it started to fill up, the crowd was friendly and the atmosphere was really nice. Ordering at the bar was bit different for us and Simone really made the experience very enjoyable, as she helped us navigate the simple process. Would definitely recommend!

Might be even better than the first location. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. The Cadillac nachos are to die for. Burger is 10/10 and drinks are always on point.

I visited this place on 11/14/24 at 4:00pm because my mom wanted to try the chicken sandwich for her birthday but she wasn’t able to because the female bartender was very rude. We walked in and instead of greeting us she told us we don’t have everything on the menu today. She told us we could sit wherever we wanted and after 45 minutes of waiting, she tells us we had to sit at the bar to order food. I feel very unwelcome and I would never visit this place again. I guess me and my mom weren’t welcome here because our skin color was to tan. Do yourself a favor and go to Popeyes instead of this place.
