This restaurant does not tell you that it's a hotel restaurant, and so there is a complete lack of traditional restaurant vibe. While our server was very kind and gracious, he was saddled with subpar menu choices, a poor wine list, and awkward seating arrangements in the main dining room, all wrapped in an expensive pricing structure. It is basically a Marriott place to eat, and I could not have been more disappointed.
As always - wonderful food, on point service and beautiful atmosphere. Something on the menu for everyone. Some of the best food we had in NYC.
Great meal with fresh ingredients and well prepared. Excellent service throughout. Close to Central Park for people watching. I highly recommend the pancakes and croissants!
This is really a bar-side seating area with a very limited menu and should not be considered a restaurant at all. The bar itself, in my past experience, although small is very good.
We stayed a few weeks ago the location is amazing, it’s a quiet hideaway in a high traffic area, this hotel is so lowkey. Breakfast at the restaurant/ bar was mind blowing and the presentation impressive. The ambience was to die for, the staff attentive, and the check out was seamless. This is somewhere you’d like to visit when you need a quiet break from all the noise. I absolutely loved my stay, one of the best parts was the full sized soak in bathtub and rainfall shower, the bathroom was an absolute dream! 😴😍🗽
Magical atmosphere & beautiful view, set on Central Park South, topped off with extraordinary food and a fabulous staff. A wonderful experience.
Abdul is a wonderful person and waiter. He is a good listener and the service is great. Sincerely, Christie M Naify Stadnik
A short menu, dishes without surprises. The shock is when I receive the bill: it’s the first time in my life that I’ve seen an espresso for $13!!!!! NYC is an expensive city but here, records are broken! Let’s not forget the $14 bottle of water!!!! Seriously ? It's indecent

The food was fresh and delicious. Service was inattentive and frustrating. There were enough servers who could do a better job. We had dinner and breakfast there. Very few customers in restaurant both times. The hotel Ritz-Carlton was amazing w great service. The restaurant could have a huge clientele given the location. I hope they train the servers better!

The Hotel is Historic & Luxury, Friendly, Direct view of Central Park.
Quite possibly the worst service we’ve had at a high-end hotel bar. They really need to refurbish this place, but teach the bartender how to interact with people and give them quality service. What a total disappointment. We sat at the bar for probably 30 minutes while the bartender brought our glasses, left them unfilled for 15 minutes, then tried to find champagne that we ordered, then thought they sold out, then he looked around, served other people, then told us they did not have it, then found a bottle. You can’t make this up. This place is a disaster and a total mess. I feel sorry for the people who stay at The Ritz and expect a good bar during their stay, because it doesn’t exist.

Perfect moment with the wifey. Pricey of course but you’re at the ritz Carlton on Central Park for godsake
Lobster roll and cappuccinos were excellent but our biggest highlight was the service and kindness by Remy Dorfmann our host. The kind of person who give you such a pleasant experience that you forget the high prices and already plan your next moments at contour after your next hike in Central Park.
Thanks again Remy, we’ll be back for shizzle

Extremely DISAPPOINTED in the Service! My family and I have never been so disrespected ever! We sat for 20 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order! Tons of staff walked past and I finally had to ask for service! I guess we don’t look like the customers they prefer yet I am staying at the Ritz - they must of forgotten money is green!! Wished I would have gone ELSEWHERE!

The Ritz is beautiful and renown for its service which made our restaurant experience a surprising disappointment. The food was average, portions were small, the service was slow and very inattentive. We had to request menus which was responded to with annoyance. We never got a beverage refill or the water we requested. One of our orders was completely wrong. They told us to start to eat the wrong order so one of us was sitting there hungry while the others ate. When the correct order came they swiped away the partially eaten meal instead of leaving it. To add insult, 18% gratuity was automatic. I would recommend the many other fine dining options in NYC!
