We have dined at Ciao Paisan dozens and dozens of times over the years in person and for takeout. Yes, the name of the restaurant and ownership has changed, but the menu and amazing food are the exact same. This restaurant serves the best Italian food on the Upper West Side. We are glad to see this establishment is still going strong!

After a scrumptious dessert experience at another restaurant, we decided to continue our culinary journey and stumbled upon Coppola's West, an Italian gem that left a lasting impression on all of us.Upon entering Coppola's West, we were immediately charmed by its cozy and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant exuded a rustic charm, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance for patrons to enjoy. Our attentive hostess seated us promptly, and our friendly server made us feel right at home.Having recently indulged in dessert, we weren't as hungry as we were eager to explore the restaurant's offerings. However, we couldn't resist accompanying our meal with some delightful beverages. The menu boasted an impressive selection of wines, and we chose a red wine that paired perfectly with our chosen dishes, enhancing the flavors and creating a convivial dining experience.

At the moment, they are operating as takeout only due to a pipe burst flooding out their building. It’s across the street from our hotel, so we bought a bottle of wine from the store at the corner and took our meal to our room. Wow, real Italian flavors. High quality. The pizza was amazing. My wife also found a tasty dish that was allergen free. The place was so good , we went back again later in the week.

Coppola’s, what happened? Been going to this place for decades. Was always some of the best, most authentic Italian food on the UWS. Lately, it feels like they are using cheaper ingredients. Chicken Parm with supermarket can tasting breadcrumbs. Chicken Marsala with a thin watery sauce.

They’re currently renovating but I called in a pizza pie when I stayed at the Lucerne and it was an amazing, flavorful, yet simple pizza. Quick and easy, loved the pepperoni. Definitely recommend for a quick pie

Please disregard rating. I am posting because I was trying to eat here today for lunch with my old friend from high school, but it looks like they are closed and a new spot is under construction. Just wanted to give the heads up.

The upw location is closed for remodel or something, only doing takeout and delivery. Guess they didn't think it necessary to mention on their website or Open Table

There's a bar and a large dining room for groups or smaller seating arrangements. Great Italian menu and well-cooked and well seasoned food at comparable prices. Attentive staff and clean restroom.

The restaurant is under construction. They have no service at this time. It's gonna be a while from the looks of it! I would recommend connecting with them in person if you want to make a reservation,

In spite of receiving an email confirmation for our dinner reservation, we arrived to find Coppola's West gutted and under renovation!! Extremely frustrating from start to finish -- the restaurant's website makes no mention of this and OpenTable clearly has no idea.

We made a reservation and when we arrived the restaurant was under construction. Why were you accepting reservations when you were unable to seat customers?

Cozy, inviting, classic. This was a terrific dinner spot. The food was excellent and the pasta was made fresh in-house. The dessert was decadent. They have a brick pizza oven. Oh, yes, and the service was great! Coppola's is good for special occasions or any day.

Our first visit to Coppola's West was a big hit! Charming and intimate with lots of exposed brick, soft lighting and an antique feel. Just the right ambiance. Very good food and excellent service. Perfectly cooked pasta and an awesome chocolate mousse pie for dessert. While we didn't order pizza, there's a pizza chef with a beautiful brick oven that turns out terrific-looking pizza. We'll be going back often.

The food was delicious, the service was excellent

Food was adequate, but lacked depth of flavor. Had to add salt to everything and don't usually add salt. Stuffed mushrooms best, but artichoke pizza and stuffed chicken dish bland. Off night?
