New York City's finest burger, dressed simply and served with a humble honesty. The outside crust is well defined, salty and savory leaving a perfectly juicy inner portion at Medium rare featuring a red to pink gradient that I seek for the request!

This is a classic neighborhood " joint ", that you will always feel welcome to! Feel free to go by yourself and sit at the bar and you won't feel alone. Or make it a regular meeting place with a friend, I've done both. Food and drinks are traditional standards, you won't see a lot of choices but you'll find the basic comfort food. I was there recently and had a salad with grilled chicken and the chicken was a generous portion. I was eyeing the hamburger and fries that was ordered next to me though!

Been coming here for years, it's still one of the best burgers in the city. Get the bistro burger and split fries or tots with whoever you're with. Side of chili doesn't hurt either. Know that it's cash only and that this place doesn't exist to cater to you. It's a dive that's open late with homemade tasting burgers. It's a go-to late night spot. Been here with friends and even dates. Try it on a weeknight.

This is the second time I've been to NY and I've visited this place both times. We went to have some beers and dinner. The service to assign us a table could be a little more efficient, however, the burgers were as good as I remembered them!! The atmosphere of the bar is also great. I hope to repeat

You'd be hard pressed to find a better place to spend the evening. Great place, lovely staff.
We had to eat in the "garden hut" on the street - the water was raining inside and it was cold. The food was served from disposable utensils... :(. We went because of the reviews, but a total disappointment.

Been coming here for decades. My son practically grew up in these booths. After childhood hockey games at Chelsea piers, during college break, and now just because it's the damn finest burger in the city. McSorleys or water. The staff is always great and attentive. The price is commensurate.
