Disappointed that the same guy took my order, cooked the food, and confirmed what was in the bag before I walked away...and then left out a side I paid for, even after I asked him if that was included in one of the boxes too. Hard to believe that was an honest mistake considering it wasn't busy at the time. Food was delicious, but make sure you open each container yourself to inspect whether your order is complete before leaving.

INEDIBLE. As a 6 month pregnant woman I was starving and excited to eat tacos from this place. I ordered the three carne asada tacos. The wait was very long! longer than expected. i was so excited to get my food as i was so hungry only to be extremely disappointed. i opened my food to a mess and take one look and it didn't look like carne asada. It was pure fat. no meat at all. it was tacos is clear jelly fat.i had to give me food back as it was inedible. i was so disappointed and the cashier looked at me and just said uh uh uh. and no help at all. will never come back and never recommend

I tried out their new tacos- AMAZING!! The tortillas are freshly made and you can taste the difference! I tried the al pastor and the rotisserie chicken tacos- absolutely divine! They also have fresh juices made in house that are delicious- I loved the mango! Will definitely be coming back soon!!!

10 minutes waiting in the cold is too much, nothing great , the arepa el CHE meat was dry and hard ,the PEPITO was good , is ok ,,the lady was real slow, before only one guy was working by himself and was much faster ,, good luck

this place used to be THE BEST!! I changed this rating from 5 stars because in the last months its gotten EXPONENTIALLY worse.... first they stopped shredding the meat, then they started removing the avocado 🥑😔, now the arepa masa is wayyy drier or less fresh, then their boxes disappeared, etc... SO SAD 😢 because this was my fave lunch spot, but it either got SOLD or they just don't care about quality anymore. Either way NO LONGER RECOMMEND 😭 💔 this arepa used to come with avocado 🥑.

I recently visited Costas South American Arepas in New York after finding it on Google Maps while I was in the area. I ordered a custom-made arepa with shredded beef, cheese, and plantains, along with the Arepa Pepito, Arepa Pepiada, Arepa Down Under, and the Sancocho soup. I also got a blackberry juice, which was tasty.
While the food was decent, the service was slower than expected and not as welcoming as I would have liked. It took away from what could have been a better experience.
I believe the place still has a lot of potential with its great menu and it could really benefit from better staff training to improve experience.

Long time lunch regular. Quality has gone down slightly w new management (consistency of arepas, meat not shredded etc) and arepas+coffee breakfast special is no longer available in the morning. Still quite a decent lunch for the price, but don't expect any coffee to be available.
