Meat was very tender and the flavor was great. Portions were a bit on the smaller side, but was very happy with the meal nonetheless.

High-level takeaway: Good steak - not particularly worth the price for some cuts. Poor service. Sides were not great. Banchan was good.

Food: Some items are close to being executed well. Tartare felt under seasoned. Dolsot bibimbad had 0 crust (unforgivable) and was very heavy on sesame oil. Ice cream is incredible. Grand Cru galbi is too sweet for my taste and much too expensive for what it is. American wagyu is fantastic.

Service: mostly everyone was pleasant. Our main server seemed like he hated his job. He was very curt with us and at some point left during the middle of us ordering meats because “we didn’t decide yet.” I promise, we were not waffling around wasting time so this came off as extremely rude to us. Staff does rotate around so other people were much more pleasant.

Honestly - I appreciate this restaurant groups prix fixe options and I think they offer a good experience and generous portion for the price when you do those. We did not get it this time but I believe that would have been a better option given my experience at COQODAQ as well.

COTE absolutely lives up to the hype. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in NYC. From the moment you walk in, the service is incredibly professional and attentive without feeling rushed.

The quality of the meat is unreal — every cut is rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly right in front of you. The staff explains each piece and makes the whole experience feel special. The sides, cocktails, and overall atmosphere tie everything together into a top-tier meal.

It’s definitely a spot for celebrating something or just treating yourself to an unforgettable dinner. If you’re looking for an upscale Korean BBQ experience with amazing food, great energy, and flawless service, COTE is 100% worth it.

More like 3.7-3.8/5.

The vibe at COTE NYC was absolutely on point, stylish, energetic, and perfect for a night out. We tried the Butcher's Feast, which honestly looked better than it tasted. The quality was fine, but overall pretty mid for the hype. Service was a mixed bag: the suited staff were attentive and professional, while the team actually handling the meat seemed a bit disengaged. We also tried literally all the cocktails on the menu, and my favorite was Baseball Furies. Highly recommend giving it a try!

One thing to mention is that the kimchi stew and soybean soup were both overly salty, and we ended up asking for some hot water to balance them out. For the price point, it was disappointing that the soups were served in chipped pots (soup was even leaking from a crack). It's definitely something they should replace soon, especially considering how much people are paying.

Tbh, COTE is over-priced.. there are definitely better Korean BBQ spots in NYC. It was fun to try once for the experience, but one time was enough.

There’s absolutely no greasy smoke; every cut of beef is impressive . The side dishes are all creative, each with its own punch. The décor is beautiful, like a nightclub. Service is excellent, and the grilling is done perfectly. Also, the prices aren’t expensive.

Don’t understand the hype. The food isn’t that amazing for the price. The only things that tasted good were the American Wagyu and the Japanese Wagyu — as they should be.

We went as a large group, so there was a minimum spend per person, which came out close to $300 each. The service was great, and it was nice having someone cook the meat for us at the table. But overall, the food just wasn’t that impressive.

Also, the seating design wasn’t very well thought out. The benches are placed back-to-back with no divider, so the person behind me kept bumping my back and elbowing me throughout the meal. There are restaurants that serve the same or even better quality Wagyu without the overpriced tag. Don’t waste your money.

I wasn’t sure if this place would live up to the hype. Suffice to say it exceeded my expectations! Exceptional service, vibe and high quality, delicious food. Highly recommend and want to give a special shout out to Daniel, bartender from Ecuador, who made my solo dining experience extra special. Check out the downstairs when you go!

Cote NYC is pure steak perfection! The Steak Omakase is a masterclass in flavor and theater—every cut arrives at the ideal moment, grilled to smoky, juicy bliss right at your table. We splurged on the extra A5 Wagyu ribeye, and it *melts in your mouth* like buttery beef heaven. The Khee soju bottle was the perfect crisp, clean pairing (pro tip: keep it coming).

The grilled spot-on execution is Michelin-level, and the steak & eggs? Hilariously genius—caviar atop tender beef is decadent comedy on a plate. Beer selection is the only miss (meh), but who cares when the meat sings?

Yes, it’s insanely hard to book for two, but worth every resy alert. Cote isn’t just dinner—it’s a carnivore’s love letter. 🥩🔥

We tried the Butcher’s Feast at Cote and really enjoyed it. Everything felt well thought out—from the service to how the food was paced. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but it’s more of an experience than just dinner.

The meat was cooked perfectly and the flavors were spot on. I liked almost all the sides, especially the okra, egg soufflé, and the barbecue sauce. The scallion salad was also really good and added a nice balance to the meal.

We also got the Yobo soju, which was smooth and tasty, though a bit expensive.

Overall, Cote was a great experience with excellent food and service. Pricey, yes, but worth it for a special night out.
