I sat at the bar on a busy Saturday night, and the service was still pretty quick. The food was amazing! I got the enchiladas with mushroom "tinga" and plant based crema. When they brought it out it had a little toothpick with a leaf to signal that this was the plant based version, which I thought was a nice touch.
If I could write negative reviews, I absolutely would. 1) they made us wait for our table. 2) the food portions were small 3) I’m a vegetarian due to restrictions and despite multiple clarifications with the waiter, they served us meat. I directly clarified with the waiter who initially insisted it was vegetarian but then realized HE forgot to put in vegetarian. Lastly when confronted he decided to smirk and say “sorry” but that’s it. He was smirking when apologizing as if it wasn’t a big deal. The only saving grace was the manager, Laura who seemed to take it seriously.
Vegetarian options: Literally gave me meat after reading back the vegetarian order.

Chicken flautas were tasty and beautifully presented. But it's still $22 for two flautas. Prices commensurate with location, right off Central Park, high tourist foot traffic etc.

Very disappointing. we had a reservation here for my friend's birthday. 3 out 5 people arrived, and we were told that they could not seat us until everyone is there. so 10 mins later, everyone arrived, and we still waited almost an hour for a table. no communication or whatsoever to us from the hostess, we actually had to keep asking. We ended up leaving and not eating here because waiting for an hour for a table is unacceptable especially if you made a reservation. Not the most hospitable experience and I would not even come back here. If they were at least nice about it, I would have given it another chance but it was handled so poorly.

Most of our dishes were great, except the flautas. The appetisers for brunch were top notch, especially the empanada. Would definitely want to try their dinner menu!

Very vegan-influenced. Cocktails were decent. Food? Not as much.

Not great. Waited a long time for the food and when it came, it was lukewarm. Also, the food just didn't have a lot of flavor -- just sort of bland Mexican food.

There were no tables. We ate in the bar. I personally do not like how spicy the food was because i am not used to it. However, the burrito was great. A bit expensive.

Had been here several times over the last five years and loved it. But the menu seems to have changed and both of our meals were tasty grease bombs. The place is lovely and the service is quite good. But $30 for four shrimp in a plate of oil-drenched potatoes is ridiculous. The tortillas they came with seemed old and did nothing to distract from the greasiness of the dish. My partner had pork tacos and reported that they were mostly fat. Hours after eating we both still feel a bit queasy. The guac was good, but I've never felt this bad after eating Mexican food.

good food but rather expensive. Got the shrimp and chicken burrito and they were both good but was hoping for a bit more flavor

I don't give a rating to the kitchen because I didn't have lunch.
