Nice atmosphere and welcoming staff. Food was hit or miss but I would come back and try them again.
Had a great New Year's Eve dinner here! The bartenders were so welcoming and made our night special!
Food was expensive and not good. Every dish was bad, including cocktail sauce, desert and coffee. Very mediocre downscale environment for such an expensive menu. Disappointing experience. Embarrassing as we recommended to our guests who shared our opinion of the food and the place. We will not be going there again.
The restaurant was delightful, service friendly and efficient, very nice ambience. Food was mostly great--the oysters were nothing short of spectacular and our two appetizers (the rice-dusted calamari and warm Maine crab sushi) and our dessert (key lime pie) were all totally delicious. That's why it was so surprising that the seared bluefin tuna entree was bland and tasteless. We mentioned that to our waitress (not to complain but in response to her question) and she was very apologetic. The restaurant then comped that dish, unrequested, which impressed me. Despite this unusual (I suspect) hit-and-miss, I would definitely go back; everything else was just so good!!
Excellent choice of oysters, love the happy hour, always order the calamari and the spicy marguerita. The service is perfect, especially when Maya is our server. Great vibe.
Well we did go early after a Broadway matinee but the service was excellent, waitstaff jolly and the food fantastic. Oysters seemed like the were on n the sea 5 minutes before they were served. And we could hear each other talk!
First time at the UWS location - having been to the Midtown location a couple of times which we loved.
Service was fantastic, like the decor here as well however we were let down by the food.
The Oysters were good as was the slider but everything else was a let down.
The calamari was super salty and soggy. The iteration we had at Midtown was leagues better.
Same goes for the salmon tostada...did not taste that fresh and was uninspiring.
The crab hand roll was also too salty and the salmon hand roll was passable but again didn't hit the mark.
The ngiri was a salty mess as well and again didn't taste fresh.
Food came out and record speed and all at once - but it almost seems like some of the items were pre-prepared given the freshness wasn't upto the usual standards. They need to take some notes from he Midtown location.
A rather disappointing experience overall.

Crave Fishbar is my go-to seafood restaurant because of. its varied menu and most excellent raw bar with its wide variety of raw oysters. On this particular evening my friends and I were celebrating a birthday and we had a servicce dog with us and so we were seated in a cozy booth in the back of the dining room. No oysters on this occasion. We shared the delicious warm Maine crab rsushi roll and the excellent rice dusted Point Judith calamari (PJ Clarke's recipe is quite similar). My friends, including the birthday honoree, each had the Montauk seabream sushi roll for their main course and I, not normally a fan of sushi rolls, so enjoyed my taste of the crab sushi roll that I ordered it again. We had a lovely bottle of Albarino, and ended by sharing the incredibly rich and dense molten chocolate cake. And here, a shout-out to our server Maya, who was lovely; quidk-witted and funny, she helped to make our birthday celebration special.

What a gem of a restaurant. The quality of the fish and other food was top notch. The service could not have been better, and very friendly and accommodating staff. The high top seating in the front area is perfect, especially for people who need a high top for mobility or other issues. Just a quick 10 mins north of Lincoln Center, and centrally located on the UWS.

Truly our favorite neighborhood place. The oysters are always fresh and the variety can't be beat. The waitstaff is friendly and helpful. This is a special place where everyone has great enthusiasm and strives to make every guest welcome and satisfied. Don't hesitate.
I had a few expired pulsd credits (paid directly to the restaurant upon purchase), and Crave was the sole restaurant who refused to honor it despite receiving the money. Unfortunate as I was looking forward to trying it. Having read their reviews, it seems a lot of people find issue with their rude staff and poor management. I would highly recommend The Mermaid Inn instead! Delicious seafood and lovely staff.

Their oyster happy hour is tops and the food is great though recently raised prices so be prepared. But relative to other seafood places this one is tops and always consistent.
